The Unofficial Oblivion Remastered Patch - UORP requirement is beyond stupid

yeah unsure what makes it to where there's no way around using another mod for editing vanilla characters

The reason it requires the unofficial patch is because that mod causes some script changes to most of the followers covered by this mod, and I dont want this mod taken down because it uses some of the UORP code. Plus I want it to be compatible with the patch.

In short, the Unofficial Oblivion Remastered Patch causes more problems than it solves. This is largely because the author simply ported the old unofficial patch from the original Oblivion without proper adaptation or even testing. Additionally, Arthmoor, the mod's creator, has a reputation for being difficult to work with and is often described as narcissistic particularly within the Skyrim modding community. I recommend doing your own research and forming your own opinion.

There are other mods that port over UORP "fixes", so that it isn't a requirement. I don't think pure ESP files are not considered copyright under Nexus rules, anyone can open up an ESP and change the code, you can modify the "fixes" to suit your needs.

He seems ok to me. He responds quickly in the comments when people asked questions and not in a rude or insufferable way. Perhaps it was just a phase. I did see a gamergate article on this based on that reddit post, but I haven't been personally wronged by him.

But I am not trying to invalidate anyone's good or bad experience.

Is there a place next to player function added to the vanilla followers? Since I would argue that's the most needed additional function from Skyrim to Oblivion companions (other than inventory sharing, but FO4 had a better one since you can manually equip item to them) with how often they get stuck on terrain and then get left behind.

Sorry Qunlongfei, but I don't understand your question. But if you have a problem with followers getting stuck, then I suggest you get the mod Advanced Followers Remastered because that mod adds a spell that lets you summon your follower(s). I recommend you get that mod, and it's compatible with this mod.
  3. Does this include a new hp scaling formula for the dark brotherhood murderer mage, since she literally just doesnt have one at all normally, thus gains no hp on level up?

I don't know about the HP scaling formula for the Dark Brotherhood Murderer Mage (maybe you can elaborate more about it), but I took the changes made in the AltarMain file and the Unofficial Patch file to all Dark Brotherhood Murderers and aside from giving them better stats, some new gear and some new spells, I also set their Level (Offset) to 1 (meaning they will be 1 level higher that the player), and their min level is 1 and max level is 30. Her base Health is set to 100 in this mod (but honestly I don't know if it works, like I said in the mod description: I haven't tested this mod thoroughly). But here's an idear: check her health using the console command "getav health" (be sure to click on her before using the command). Do this twice (once before you level up (up to max level 30), and again after you level up). You should see changes to her health, and if you don't, try dismissing her, leaving the are where she is (make sure you load into another area), and then clicking on her again and use the: "getav health" command without the quotation marks.

Sorry SuperSatyr001 but no: this mod only edits humanoid followers, so: no atronachs and no skinned hound edits, but I made this mod with the latest version of xEdit, so feel free to make your own mod that edits the stats of atronachs, with xEdit it's really simple.

Is this compatible with Ascension and Balanced NPC Level Cap?

First of all: I don't use the Ascension mod, so I don't know, but since it only edits certain followers (you can find a full list of what followers are changed in the mod description) it should work. As for Balanced NPC Level Cap, I think that mod caps the NPC max level at 30, and this mod also caps the Follower max level at 30, so they should work, but just to be safe put this mod BELOW Balanced NPC Level Cap in your load order.

does this fix the issue of armor wearing followers to become naked when their armor breaks?

dunno JustKana002, but I don't think so, I'd recommend you use this mod with Advanced Followers Remastered, since that mod allows you to change your follower's gear with a spell. You can use the spell the mod provides to spawn a sack that contains their entire inventory, then take all their stuff, repair broken or damaged gear and give it back to them. This mod mainly focuses on changing the stats of followers.

Why is this ESP flagged as an ESM? Even the UORP isn't flagged as an ESM.
