Does this mod increase the value of just 0 cost items and does it include everything that had a 0 cost. Also does it increase the price of other items as well?
So many things in this game seem too cheap. Like all clutter, especially silver clutter, clothing, books and even the gems, ore and hides.
it changes every object that had a value of 0 to have a value, except sigil stones, because i have a mod already that modifies them and gave them a value.
i could go by and update other clutter to have a larger value if wanted. i'm still looking into letting keys be sellable, since they also clutter up the player inventory when many are used once and never needed again.
Edit: found a surprising and funny bug.... keys having a value means the vendors will try and sell any keys in their inventory... meaning they will literally sell you their store key. honestly i couldn't stop laughing at every vendor i saw selling their store key... i really don't want to remove the value from them, since i like being able to get rid of selling my own keys that are uselessly filling my inventory. but others may want to know
However, I have found that if you buy a key from a vendor, it's as if you don't have it, like I bought a key from a vendor to unlock a chest that required it and it said that the lock cannot be picked and requires a key, even though I already have the key.
Any chance for a weightless version of this mod? I tried to use it wit other weightless mode and it either gets overwritten and has items with no value, or it overwrites and gives weight to items.
based on previous experience, typically when two mods interact with the same object, the one lowest on the load order will take control. now i'm not sure if it will allow both the weight and value to be modified separately. but it would be very good info for me to know if it does.
also if it does not, can you provide the link to the mod? i may be able to make a patch specific to that mod (with the authors approval)
it shouldn't impact the languages, its only changing the value of the item - however if you have another mod changing the names, it may require testing to see if its compatible.
Question- did you include any values for Mythic Dawn clothing? I tossed the esp in the correct folder and added it to the plugins.txt and was careful to set it second in the load order (setting it before the base game causes a crash) but the MD clothing has zero value.
Edit: I see it's in the picture that you did include the value.. so since it only requires being placed in the esp directory and added to the plugin txt... I can't figure out why it won't load.
is it below the AltarESPMain.esp in the plugins folder?
it needs be just below all base game+game DLC esp's. but above any other custom mods - since it overwrites a lot of items and if another mod is altering that item, i'm sure its for more then just a value add.
For reference, in your initial description it simply says 'high in the load order' in the plugins.txt so I misunderstood that it should be "after all base game/dlc resources but before other modded esp entries". I dropped it to the bottom and voila, value is there! Now I just have to find the proper vendor to sell these 32 pieces of clothing to.... heh
