Your s#*! don't work bro. Vortex installs to the wrong location, and following the instructions you posted didn't fix anything. Something...ANYTHING posted here to correctly outline what to do is necessary.
I'm now enjoying the 30% Chameleon version—feels like my PC has become a predator, lurking in the shadows. It’s thrilling! That said, it's a bit sad to see the mod getting so few endorsements.
I think one reason might be that it's a bit hard to figure out where to get the ring. There’s no item called “Thoronir Ring” in the game, so at first I was confused. I initially thought it was the Weatherward Circlet, the reward from the Unfriendly Competition quest—but that wasn’t replaced. Then I searched all over Thoronir’s house for any hidden rings, but couldn’t find anything. In the end, I used the console command to get it.
Also, I noticed the ring was recently changed to give 110% Chameleon, which basically puts the player in god mode. It might be better to offer both versions—some players want challenge and stealth immersion, while others might want the full invisibility experience. Giving users a choice would make the mod more appealing to a wider audience.
If the description included clearer instructions and both options, I think more players would enjoy and endorse it. Thanks again for the fun stealth gameplay!
People that only give The One Ring invisibility have a clear misunderstanding of the rings power... The One Ring amplifies it's users power depending on who is wearing it. A hobbit turns invisible because they cannot access the Ring’s full power, it controls them, not the other way around. They're shifted partially into the Wraith-world, the spiritual plane where Ringwraiths dwell. That’s why Frodo becomes invisible. If a powerful character like Gandalf wore the ring, he probably would get powers similar to Sauron or something to that affect.
