Thanks for the update regarding the silver weapons and the traveling guards, been tracking this ever since and you've more than earned your endorsement for this mod! (I tried prior to the update and had to run away from a wisp while a guard sacrificed himself)
A suggestion: the horseback patrols should still probably carry silver weapons since they are more likely to encounter creatures immune to normal weapons.
By the way, I like the attention to detail of giving that quest specific Legion Captain (Gepard Montrose) Imperial Watch armor. Somehow it never crossed my mind that he was originally missing rank appropriate armor!
I am just now noticing an issue. This just popped up as well so it could be a load order issue, but I barely know what that means so maybe not. Some of the Imperial Guards are reverting back to the Vanilla gear. I noticed it near Bruma where a guard had Silver weapons and a Forester was wearing Armor, but in the Imperial City all the guards had the gear listed in this mod. Does anyone else have this issue?
weird, I’ll check if I missed them but otherwise could be that their inventory needs to refresh if you encountered them prior to installing. takes about 3 days
feel free to paste your load order (starting with this mod and everything after) and I can prolly tell you if anything is conflicting
Sorry if I am doing this wrong. I didn't know how to extract the Load Order to I typed it out by hand. It is also probably a mess. I only recently learned why NBO wasn't working correctly and it took me 2 days to realize what I did wrong.
Also love all of your mods. Can't wait to see what other mods or faction overhauls you may make.
so that you don’t have to type it out in the future you can open the plugins.txt file in your data folder and copy from there.
you’ve got a lot of mods I don’t use so I can’t say for certain but traveling NPCs carry torches sounds like it could be the culprit. try loading my mod below it
There's a problem that comes with removing so much of the silver weapons. Some enemies cannot be damaged by normal weapons, with the only exceptions being silver and daedric.
While sure, it is very rare for imperial soldiers to face such enemies, there are still times where they do, and now in those cases they won't be able to deal any damage.
i can't think of any quests that has Legion soldiers fighting ghosts (if you know of any lmk). if it's an issue with a quest/important NPC i'll make changes as needed
The only creatures that are immune to normal weapons are ghosts, wraiths and will-o-the-wisps. Land Dreughs are resistant (33) but still take damage. Ghosts and wraiths shouldn't be a problem since thay are contained within caves and ruins. Will-o-the-wisps could be a problem though since they can be sometimes found along the road, so Imperial patrols wouldn't be able to deal with them.
One thing though, silver in the Elder Scrolls world doesn't seem to be nearly as valuable as it is in the real world. Every indication we have points to it being relatively cheap and mundane, so while it can be odd to have the legion fully equipped with silver, it can make sense in context.
This is the one thing keeping me from downloading and I like the other immersive guard mod as well, if there was a version where they kept the silver weapons I'd probably download
Could you make an optional addition to make every guardsman in armor wear the Horseman helm? They just don't look right without the horsehair plume on top
Neat! I would really like if you could give an armor to horses Imperial guards ride outside, the steel horse armor for the player horse would suit them well I believe :)

A simple mod alt should suffice.
