I am in the process of overhauling this mod, making it easy to install and configure. We can make it compatible with many mods that edit magic effects, such as OOO or CCEE. Post your desired mods to be patched and I will try my best. Also tell me if FOMOD installer works fine for Mod Organizer.
This mod page will be updated properly eventually.

Currently Supported Mods
Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul
Consistent Constant Effect Enchantments

Recommended mods
Fix Persistent Character Glow
No Chameleon Visual Effect

How this mod works
BEGB esp edits magic effects. It tells them to use NULL effect shader, meaning None. Fancy Unreal Engine visuals will remain, but the annoying Oldblivion sticking glow should be gone.

This method means that all the other edits to magic effects will be overwritten by this mod. Thus I have made a FOMOD installer to include multiple versions that include changes from other mods. Now you can safely overwrite them with BEGB. The other mods are not required, I just copypasted some of their records like Enchantment Cost or whatever.

BEGB should be loaded after all other mods, so I placed "z" at the beginning of the name to sort it last alphabetically (if you do this thing; I do, personally).

Why not use Fix Persistent Character Glow instead?

First, it doesn't always work. It is useful when it does, so I recommend you using it. But still.
Second, it does not fix vanilla bugs related to glow shaders, such as the infamous Reanimation bug that prevents staff of worms thralls to even walk.
Third, some effects are meant to be permanent, so you'll get stuck with annoying drain effect glow if you have an enchanted item with it.

Old description (will be removed eventually)
I hate how enchanted armor looks in this game. Some enchantments have this flat 2006-style glow that just looks horrible. Other effects look gorgeous, but I don't want them to be PERMANENT!!! Like, try playing the game in third person while LIT ON FIRE!!!! Normally the glow-effect lasts a second or two, but if you change enchanted clothing or reload a save, it can stick to you forever!

This amazing mod fixed that. HOWEVER, I realized that it broke Night Eye and Light illusion spells, so I tried to fix that (or maybe it was some other bug that miraclously went away). CLARIFICATION: This was likely a vanilla bug. It still happens to me sometimes. No idea why. Besides, I don't mind negative effects still glowing, since they are usually temporary and Indicate that SOMETHING BAD IS GOING ON AND YOU NEED TO PAY ATTENTION. Also since you mostly use spells like CHARM, RALLY, WEAKNESS or BURDEN, etc on someone else, I don't mind them glowing a bit. For example, Weakness to fire makes your target emit a small fiery glow (see screenshots), so when it disappears, I know that I should re-apply this debuff.  (no membrane shader on beneficial effects basically)

Still, some effects might look horrendous and should be replaced with their modernized versions. This is beyond my skillset, so go to Oblivion modders' discord and ask them to do that, or contribute your work to the research.

Install with Vortex or just paste it in Steam\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data. Gamepass should work since it's just an esp, but no idea, honestly. I don't use GamePass.

If you don't know, how to let Vortex handle mod-installation and load-order (plugins.txt file), go to Echoes of Oblivion collection, I learnt it there. Basically, you go Load Order -> Reset Plugins File -> Refresh List -> click the tickbox on Oblivion.esm. It will generate you a plugins.txt and sort your .esp's in alphabetical order.

I use Rudy's Reshade with his addon to disable HUD. If you were wondering how I disabled it for screenshots, there you go.
