    Can you change difficulty in game? Maybe I am crazy but it seems like the mod is working when I load up the game, it will use the custom values I have set in the .ini. But if I change difficulty in game it feels like it reverts to the game's standard settings for said difficulty.

    Has anyone find a way to have custom difficulty for us poor Game Pass plebeians who can't run OBSE nor ASI?

      Hey, I am running the ASI version on Steam and it works fine, so I think you should also be able to run it on the Gamepass version. The description of this mod is not explicit on how to install the Ultimate ASI Loader: For me, the dsound.dll works fine, you need to put that DLL file into "OblivionRemastered\Binaries\WinGDK" for GamePass (or "Win64" for Steam) and next to it the ASI version files of this mod PLUS the INI file from this mod.

    If the BetterDifficulty.ini isn’t working for you when installing automatically with Vortex (OBSE version), go to Vortex, right-click the mod, and select 'Open in File Manager'. Then create the following folders: OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64\obse\pluginsand place the BetterDifficulty.ini file inside. Finally, click 'Deploy Mods' in Vortex and should work perfectly now.

    Awesome mod! Does what it says on the box. Game was getting way too easy after hitting ebony / daedra level stuff and now battles feel dangerous again.

    Currently on master using
    damage dealt 0.75
    damage taken 6.0

    I installed OBSE the way it manually says to install.
    It never created an obse folder or obse/plugins folder
    I can launch the game withe the obse exe, dont have any crashing issue and I can getobseversion in console. Obse is working fine.
    Not sure where to put the dll since I do not have those folders.

    EDIT:  My mistake. I misunderstood your installation instructions.

      fDamageDealt=1.5
      fDamageTaken=3.0
      fSummonDamageDealt=3.0
      fSummonDamageTaken=0.5

      Did a bunch of testing and this seems the most balanced and fun.
      I buffed the summons so that they are worth it, as they got nerfed in the remaster.

      Does this affect all difficulties or do you have to choose one?

      It'll affect the difficult where you put it. The ini file has different spots for each difficulty. Whichever you set these settings under would be changed.
      From what I can tell you could even just set adept to be more difficult than expert. Maybe a way to rename the sliders in game could be useful.
