I just finished that questline, and I objected at every laughably easy threshold. I'm so disappointed that I missed out here, but I would HIGHLY recommend it for anyone who hasn't started yet. There wasn't even a singular time where I had to do anything extra to meet my threshold. I was always above it, usually several fold. I think I finished with something like 3,500 Septims fenced
Correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn't these changes be kind of game breaking? How much does an average house have loot worth stealing for? Getting through all the quests would require 34.75k worth of loot. Since the interior items to my understanding do not respawn, wouldn't this lead to most of the game worlds houses be pretty much completely empty without clutter after you have rummaged them throughly?
That is correct, 10k total is all you need for the final quest unlock. The amount required isn't addtional its just the total, thats why og 1000 gold requirement is hilariously easy
Since the gold requirements are based on your total fenced gold amount overall, you should only need at least 10,000 gold fenced to receive all quests.
If you find the loot in NPC homes a bit lackluster when it comes to stealing, I absolutely recommend trying out Ascension Remastered - Vanilla-Plus Loot and Balance as it makes some changes to loot in NPC homes to help remedy this :)
10k of stolen loot isn't hard to get, it just makes you take on bigger targets like castles or the Imperial City. The default 1k quota just makes it so that you can pretty much be set for the whole questline by just doing a couple of stores.
I see, thanks for everyone here for taking the time to explain it to me. This mod seems like a definite improvement then. You guys and the mod author are awesome!

Wondering if youd do an alternate that triples the current amounts.
I can just figure out how to edit .esp to do this, but thought id ask cause i cant be the only one who wants to REALLY stretch out the TG questlines

Tested on an existing save with ~650 gold fenced and all changes are working as intended :)
