Look, I'm glad this exists. I really wanted to 100% this game on my own, but as many people have said the game bugs and doesn't give you an achievement for the Mage's Guild. I finished all other achievements at the ~200 hour mark, only to realized I missed one 100 hours back. Why should I be forced to play back through 100 hours just to get an achievement that is bugged?
there's literally no competition with steam achievements if this effected Xbox achievements then THAT would be a problem but steam achievements provide no benefit, no points, and others cant really see your achievements unless you choose to have them public. there's really no reason to not have this.
at least its better than people rooting their phones, going on multiplayer games or solo games and hacking them to get currency for free which is straight up robbery and is illegal.
This mod right here is for people like me, who use cheats in their video games because 1) we're too lazy to go through and get every single achievement, 2) we just want to explore the game world without worrying about dying or weapon/armor degradation on Novice difficulty, and 3) I'm a lazy casual video game enjoyer who just wants to enjoy the game how I want to enjoy it.
1) So don't get the achievements, that's OK, why lie? 2) Nothing about achievements stops you from exploring the game however you want to. 3) See point 1.
the issue of this behavior is what make achievement in steam have lower value than console variants such as xbox/playstation.
Oblivion achievements are link for you to do all the main quests and storylines the game has, meaning, you cheating for this is also telling to everyone you dont played the game.
It isnt stupid achievemnts like "play like this and do this" it literally just ask you to properly finish the guild missions.
Honestly, what’s really disappointing is your comment. People experience games in different ways, and if someone enjoys using cheats in their single player games, that’s their choice. At the end of the day, it’s their copy of the game to do with whatever they want with it.
There’s no single “correct” way to play. The most important thing is finding what makes you happy, and if having all of the achievement brings you joy and satisfaction, then have it.
Yes! Quite disappointing to see the dark brotherhood questline is broken because an NPC doesn't show up, and you can't use advance the quest using console. Or other bugs that pop up.
Achievements require time and effort; it's the very reason why people derive joy and satisfaction from attaining them in the first place. It cannot possibly be meaningful to any individual to download a mod that triggers every single achievement all at once (although there could be exceptions). This mod would better serve the community if it allowed you to trigger specific achievements instead.
At the end of the day, I agree that people can play however they want. If someone chooses to get all upset and indignant over a stranger cheating in their own singleplayer game? Well, that's a sad way to live.
Buddy if someone has 100% Oblivion before back in the day and doesn't wanna go through that s#*! again, they can use this. It's a single player game. It isn't hurting you. It isn't effecting you. Let people do what they want with the game they paid for. If this was multiplayer, it would be a different story, but it's not. Be quiet.
for real guys, if u only play the game u get every single Achievement for free, maybe Mania and Dementia are not achieveable in one playthrough but everything else is "play the game" there are no achievements like "close 1000 Obliviongates" or other totally overprized achievments its only quest all guild, play the DLC and the Main Story, what else do u guys do if u play a singleplayer game? Start the game and stand still for 100 hours? Like everyone said, its ur Choice but still i dont understand why ;)
How is this any different than any other mod? Do you grab your pitchfork and cry about every other mod that give unlimited currency or unlocks all upgrades?
For those who want to throw hate at mods like this I want to ask you... why are you on Nexus?! I know a true purist won't even touch this web site so download or move on with your mouth shut & let the rest of us enjoy it.
I'd like to thank you for this. I had skipped master-wizard rank without realizing it and was the last achievement needed for the game and didnt not feel like starting all over just to get it
I only installed this after most of the hate that I saw it receiving. So many snide remarks against it.
Then I got it. installed it. Was happy with it. And uninstalled OR. And deleted all files for it. And went back to playing Skyrim with a smile on my face, and thinking which 1-3 GB mods should I get to get past the 118GB size that OR had.
Maybe one day, long off in the distance. I will get (OG) Oblivion again, and do the full Mod process for that. Which when that came out... One of the first mods here on Nexus was a 8.9 GB visual overhaul if I can remember correctly. (these were the days when achievements were a Xbox or Playstation thing alone. and us PC master race worshippers were left in peace.)

Respectfully, I am just pointing out how you sound to people.
Why not simply let people do what they want in their own private life with their own single player experience?
It's called freedom; don't be against it because of your subjectivity.
Thanks, and have fun!

they often go small talk the crap out of other NPC, there was even a mod that disable the permanent small talk
This isnt cheating. This here, This is straight up being a shady person and lying to flex.
