Maybe they didn't HAVE a choice. Not everyone can afford two high end platforms, you know. I'm sure there are people who have a console but no PC, or a PC that's too weak to handle Fallout New Vegas.
That's pretty much the whole point. From one point of view you could say that console players are profiting from the efforts of PC modders and testers, especially from the efforts of people like Antistar and Jonnyeah. Subsequently, Obsidian and Bethesda are profiting from sold DLC. Thustly, we are ALL profiting from bigger budgets on future Fallout games.
Who needs a fat mine, when a plain ole mini nuke and frag mine placed close to each other have the same effect?
PN requires NVSE. Official DLC/addons can't require it, so their potential is limited compared to that of mods. Anyway, before more of you start talking about "losing respect for Bethesda", think about the poor bastards who bought FNV on console. They'll be rejoicing over this.
@xaliqen Bethesda will probably stop supporting this game after skyrim comes out. that is a very highly anticipated game and Bethesda wants to make sure it works perfectly, unlike other Bethesda titles in the past. therefore, expect them to put all of their time and effort into skyrim and little to no time on NV.
@dartmaul15 -- I'm not sure if it's Bethesda or Obsidian who called the shots on what to include in the DLC (probably a little of both), but all of the people playing on consoles don't have access to mods. This will be good for them.
In any case, it's great they're still releasing DLC and patches almost an entire year after the game came out. When you think about it, most developers these days don't provide this kind of support with regular updates to content and stability for an extended period.

besides. the ones buying it on console KNEW that the PC version was going to be moddable, so they made their choice!

I'd call that a win-win.

i think this one is great for console users, just saying i don't see a reason for pc players to buy it

project Nevada also has some of the weapons. (like combat rifle).
Am i the only one who suddenly lost respect for Bethesda?
