For those in 2019 that can't get it to work: Remove the "if" line from the quest script in TES Costruction Set, and it will be added when you reload. It would be a shame to miss the fun :D
Don't know if you can help me with my problem, but I can't get it to work. I had it working, but another mod damaged my oblivion files so I had to reinstall oblivion and now I can't get it working at all even when it is the only other thing installed at all. Any help getting it working would be nice. I had a lot of fun when it worked so I am really hoping I can get some help getting it working again.
Still using this in 2014, works like a charm! I have quite a few other mods in my load order as well, so it doesn't seem to conflict.
If anyone else is having trouble with this mod, try starting a fresh new game and playing for a little while. If the spell does not appear in your Journal, then you have a conflict with another mod. Disable all other mods, start a fresh game, then add the others back in a few at a time to see which one is messing up this nifty little "night-cap"!
Fun mod however it has a weird glitch, when you use it on a npc in a building or dungeon, then leave the area, they some time are permanatly koed. I would look in to this if I were you friend.
LOL! Sounds great... can't wait to install it! I'm sure there's nothing like watching a "favorite" NPC bite the big one into the sand. I'm looking forward to it!
Normally, when you start up Oblivion and load a saved game, the spell will be automatically added to your ranged spells list within 3 to 5 seconds or so. Note that when it first appears among your spells, it will be at the very top of the ranged spells list, then a few seconds later the list will re-sort properly and the spell will snap into alphabetical order. (Somewhere after Movement Mastery" and "Mute", but before "Open Hard Lock" and "Silence")
If you still can't find it in your spells list after a minute or two though, it may be conflicting with another mod... (Sorry, but I'm not running any of the ones you are, so I don't know which one would be causing it.)
I'm not sure that a console command will work in this case — as far as I can understand, the console can only add spells by ID number, and the ID numbers in ESPs seem to change when you've got additional ESPs loaded ahead of them. (The console can add/remove Bethesda spells though, as they're all in the ESM which loads first, so their IDs don't change.)
Yeah, you know what would go really well with this mod?
A readme...
I activated the mod and went into the game, i waited about 5 real time minutes and the spell never appeared in my list. Is there a console command I can use to add the spell? I've tried running the game through the launcher, and through OBSE.
For now I won't rate this mod, since I can't even use it.
