Awesome mod. Those few extra FPS really make a difference in busy areas.

Yea but I posted that for people who care about frames per second, typically people who are playing outdoors with anywhere from 5-25 fps, (me) could really use the advice of how to uninstall AEVWDt... it isnt worth a constant 5-10fps loss, which is waht that mod does, it doesnt uninstall all of it those are only the meshes, it still adds some distant textures...

max tael's natural vegetation also causes about a 3-4fps loss for me and this version is modified to not generate the near trees(the ones generated when you are near) all the way out into LOD land, max had his fdistant values set well into LOD territory 18192, and if you make some comparisons it simply isnt worth the frame loss to render that far out when vanilla oblivion only does so at 8192 normally, this mod renders them from 8192 at small up to 12488 in the large file which is plenty of distance, for instance 18192 is rendering trees from Vilverin past Imperial City, why do that?, i admit 8192 is a bit low but for people in need of fps and want taller trees this mod is a good compromise

this was a very easy mod to make but my next project might be redoing and AEVWD to a much smaller version with much lower resolution files since they are so distant to begin with, it certainly would be nice to see a few ruins and whatnot in the distance without chugging my game

erm, AEVWD was specifically made to add the distant ruins to distant land. the IC was always VWD. You ought to have not gotten the mod dude. You didn't uninstall half of it; you uninstalled all of it. but anywho,

This performance thread is the inspiration for making changes to improve fps hungry mods, and has good insight on ini changes as well.

I will look into making screenshots... but it basically makes the trees 40% larger than vanilla, and Max's makes them 60% larger and viewable further.

It really doesnt take long to make a comparison yourself by ticking this mod on and off with Max's or comparing to Vanilla. I assure you that this version is much easier on frames if you need some. This version is actually very close to Vanilla fps, almost zero hit.

I am working on releasing a couple versions of this mod, with different levels of tree sizes and different fTreeFarDistanceBase values. They will all be released in one zip and you can pick the one that best fits your system and fps needs then. This is the version I would like to include screenshots with and fps comparisons.
