1. Description

*****************************

This mod is intended for people who like the vanilla eyes, but would like more variety in character creation. The only visual effect to the ingame characters are high-rez Argonian eyes (same as original, but looks nicer), and glowing Dunmer/Dremora/Saint/Seducer/Reanimate eyes.

This version does not require Shivering Isles or any of the patches. However it does add glowmaps for SI just incase you have it installed, this way the glowing can be "controlled".

Adds new eyes to all playable races, 54 to humans and elves, 22 to Khajiit, 12 to Argonian, and 33 to Orcs. Adds subtle glow to Dunmer eye types. Also adds glow to Reanimate, Red & Black, and Dremora eyes. High resolution version of default argonian eyes is included since I found the original image that Bethesda used, this high-rez original was also used to create the new argonian eyes.

2. Installation

*****************************

To install the plugin, unzip the files into the "Bethesda/Oblivion/Data" directory.

There is a folder named PHVanillaEyesAddon_Extras. This folder contains extra glowmaps that you may copy and rename to add or take away glow from any eyes that you wish. There are glowmaps included to add glow to argonian, khajiit, and orc eyes. There is an all black glowmap to take away glow from any of the eyes. You may delete this folder if you do not need the glowmaps.

3. Playing the plugin

*****************************

From the Oblivion Launcher, select Data Files and check the box
next to the PHVanillaEyes.esp file.

Note: While generally it would be best to create a new character, there is way to change your existing characters eyes. Use caution and back up your saves before proceeding. Press ~ to open the console. Type showracemenu. Select the eyes you want.

!!DO NOT click on Done!!
(If you click on done you will reset your character skill progress to next level to zero, however you will keep your current level. You have been warned!)
Type Autosave into the console with the race menu still open. Quit and reload your autosave.

5. Compatibilty

*****************************

This plugin will probably conflict with any other mod that alters/adds eyes/hair/races due to the way Oblivion handles these things. If you are running other mods that adds hair and such please check out WryeBash, you can use it to create a compatibilty patch (note, this may or may not work with other eye mods.) WryeBash and instructions can be found at: http://wrye.ufrealms.net/#WryeBash

If you have a custom race and need help adding these, drop me an email ([email protected]) or contact me at ORE or the Official Forums. I'll be glad to help.

Other mods that are compatible:
*All of my eye mods are compatible.
*IFT and IAFT by ShadyTradesman.
*TNR by Veritas_Secreto.
*Any mods that alter individual NPC's and mods that only replace character textures.

Most textures based on Bethesda's original eye textures.
Slited Dremora and Khajiit eyes based on AlienSlof's Dremora PS Files Resource. All of which are named "eyeAS*****.dds".
All meshes based on Bethesda's original eye meshes.

Utilities used: Construction Set, Adobe Photoshop, Nvidia PS Plugins, NifSkope, and TES4Gecko.

Special thanks to:
AlienSlof - for allowing me to use and modify her Dremora eyes.

TeamGecko - for TES4Gecko, which was used to roll back the CS version of the esp so it will be compatible for everyone.

Everyone at the ORE Forums - for your helpfulness, support, chit-chat, and the mods!

Bethesda - for creating such a great and involving game, and for
the ability for us players to modify it as we see fit.

**Please email me with any bugs or suggestions. Feel free to utilize any of my creations as a resource in your mods, just list me in the credits. If you wish to use anything of the eyes named "eyeAS*****.dds" please contact AlienSlof for permission.
