Is it normal for the game to lock up for almost 15 seconds when using this mod? Dynamic Map already causes the game to hitch upon first open every load, but typically for only a few seconds.
I have a freeze only when I first open it for 3 seconds, further openings are instant. Constant freezes for a couple of seconds only occur if a lot of icons are open on the map. I think the opening speed depends on the hard drive, I have the game installed on an SSD.
Hmm weird. Since I downgraded to ORC 1.9.4 it opens a bit faster but still hangs the game for around 10 seconds vs regular Dynamic Map. It does open normally after the first open like you said, but I don't have any icon mods installed, or a lot of locations yet. I also have it installed on an SSD, so no clue if it's just a case of too many OBSE plugins, too many mods, or just Oblivions engine being its usual self, lol.
Whereas I use the VKVII Oblivion Cyrodiil Map that consumes Dynamic Map, I must thankyou for the ini settings you've recommended, neat QoL touch I hadn't considered. Kudos.
Not the best upscaling. One can clearly see the usual squiggly lines made from AI upscaling in the text. I'd suggest out-right replacing the text with either the same font or a very similar looking one. Or trace it.
I agree, I would like to have a better result, but it's all about the source maps. The original looks terrible, as if it was originally created in 512*512 resolution, and then just stretched to 2k. Some of the inscriptions there are almost unreadable. But redrawing all the inscriptions on all the maps...sorry, I don't have that much time. Comparing the original and the final result, I am satisfied with the current version. p.s.: By the way, the upscaling was done through a generative model with recover, I think it is difficult to get a better result today.
