Remodels the Orcish helmet from Phitts Helmet Collection to be more sleek and angular. Optional vanilla replacer included.
I like the idea that Phitt was going for with the Orcish helmet from Phitts Helmet Collection, but there were some things about it that I felt could be improved.
The lower half of the face of the helmet has a rounded look to it that makes it somewhat resemble a plate or bowl that's been glued to the front of the vanilla Orcish helmet.
My main goal was to make the face look more like a natural part of the rest of the helmet, and less like a piece that was attached to the front of it.
I did this by bringing in the bottom of the face and straightening it out. Then, I sculpted out the side profile, so that it somewhat resembles an armet helmet.
Lastly, I remapped the textures a bit on the face to add a grey stripe going down the center and a border along the bottom of the chin, then I added breathing holes to the cheeks by editing the texture.
Now it looks more like one solid helmet, and less like a mask added to the front of the vanilla Orcish helmet.
Also included is an optional bashed patch-mergable plugin that will replace the vanilla Orcish helmet with the remodeled Phitt Orcish helmet.
Requirements
Phitts Helmet Collection. Though you can delete its .esp and keep only the model assets if you only want to replace the vanilla helmet.
Installation
1. Download and install Phitts Helmet Collection
2. Download Phitts Helmet Collection - Orcish Remodel 1.1, unzip the file, and drop the folder titled "data" in your Oblivion directory. Say "yes" to any requests to overwrite files.
*OPTIONAL*
1. If you want to replace the vanilla Orcish helmet, also download "Phitts Orcish Helmet - Vanilla Replacer 1.1"
2. If you ONLY want to replace the vanilla Orcish helmet, and are not interested in what the rest of what Phitts Helmet Collection has to offer, delete Phitts Helmet Collection's .esp.
