Imagine my surprise when I found this, lol. Never thought I'd see this get a revamp! I have a question before I download it; will it conflict with the original Zorhaus if I keep the old version, or do I need to uninstall the old one for this one to work?
anyway you could go through a quick mod list? And has the old version ever been installed before? Any lighting/shadow mods or enbs? (I run with both, cryodillic enb and natural enviroments)
And then, first building as in the cell directly at the end of the port town? And did you install manually or with a mod manager?

Yes the first building, after I get the key from the tombstone that falls apart I try to enter first enterable cell, the game loads, I hear the quest pop up sound and it instantly crashes
I installed the pop up remover because I thought it'd help but it didn't
So to me the only thing that really stands out to me would be Quest Popup remover, after looking at its comment section, here, I would say that it's a pretty safe bet.
Comments mentioning things with TSI quest popups ctding them, it being old (Open in CS and save it to refresh the timestamp on it,) and then just also not working very well with the steam version.(I'm not sure what version you use.) I haven't personally used it but I could see how it could cause issues with modded quest stages/popups, and there are a lot of them in this mod if that is what it is.
I suppose try checking it off and then entering and see if that fixes it, because nothing else you're using really jumps out at me, especially since I use many of them myself. Hope this helps!
I don't use the quest popup mod, but I experience the same persistent ctd. When I open the door it goes to a load screen. I can briefly see a quest update window popup then it crashes. Perhaps it's driven by the timing of the quest box? could you provide the cell id please? I'll try to coc there.
Still trying to figure this one out. Cellid is wrZorhausEntrance, Queststage for entering is 30. Could perhaps trying advancing the quest stage before entering.
I've tried to recreate this ctd but haven't been able to, although seems like a rampant issue. I'll start looking through texture paths on models, as I can't imagine its from anything else with it being such a wide spread issue.
I've seen someone else comment this as well, but the first door where you need the key crashes upon opening it. I disabled every other mod except for this one and Oblivion Script Extender. I've tried installing it manually and through vortex, I'm stumped, nothing stops the crash. Maybe I did something wrong but hopefully this gets fixed 👍.

Very helpful with turning all other mods off, but if you're still willing to try it, try disabling Autosaving before going through the door. I'll see if i can't get it installed on some other pcs to test somethings.
Would I need to start a new save for this, or can I just uninstall the version of Zorhaus I have right now, install this one in its place and continue playing?
I completely rescripted all of the quest stages and redid many things in the cells. If it’s not progressed at all it would probably be fine, but if it is I would definitely recommend a proper uninstall and reinstall. I tested it with some partial playthroughs and it does cause some pretty serious bugs since a lot of the enemies/environments are tied directly to the quest stages and most of them have changed. 10 being 20, 20 being 30 and so on.
As far as I can tell I haven't done anything in regards to the quest yet, to be more specific I have not even found nor visited the location for Zorhaus so I should be in the green, aye?
