I've been trying for months to get the ebony armor to match the ebony sallet from Phitt's Helmet Collection, and it looks like this is the mod that's finally going to allow me to do so! The ebony sallet looks much more smooth than the vanilla ebony textures. Your retexture smooths out the armor, bringing its appearance closer to the sallet. My only issue with with the brown feet on the female boots and the brown underfoot on the male boots. Looks out of place. I recolored it black.
Make this armor a separate set (replacing the default ebony) and then have the vanilla ebony with the gold etchings and such be a unique set. (perhaps replacing Umbras armor, or being a new set altogether? "Fine Ebony Armor"?)
I suppose it's not a bad idea per se, make Umbra's armour more unique even if just by textures, but I'm not too interested about it. I could perhaps try making it as a commission.
