Make a replacer for the Legion armour in the style of the Morrowind one (that has all the individual pieces and isn't just a one-piece suit like the existing ones) and you'd be the hero of the entire modding community....
I really like most of the changes to the steel armour, but the shininess just doesn't look very good when viewed in dark interiors. It looks good in your screenshots, but it just doesn't look the same in my game. I don't understand why.
Any chance you could release a non-reflective alternative? Because I really like the other changes.
i installed ur iron armor replacer as all the three files in this page but the greaves and cuirass r transparent on my female character. do i need one of the shiny steel mods?
sorry about that, bad texture pathing on my part there. the transparent stuff is purely texture paths pointing to files that dont exist (there was a bunch pointing to Zefiros texture, his mod was the source for a lot of the meshes). no other shiny steel mods needed.
I absolutely adore the aesthetic, but the armor has a magical film over it, the helmet is noticeably darker than everything else, and the eyes and neck are invisible. it may be an issue on my end, but any advice would be appreciated
the "shininess" on the male version of the armor is supposed to look like that. also the mod was poorly packaged so thats why some parts of the armor appear invisible
my bad on these issues folks, the witcher part was a rushed release. They should all be patched in the latest release. Happy to hear your enjoying the mod and aesthetic otherwise :D
Oh ok ! Thanks for the quick answer and the patch !
And congrats for your work ! Your iron armor and this one are now essential to my load order ! I'm even replacing the vanilla dwemer armor with the core version of this mod, just so I can fully enjoy this mod !
Me again ! I noticed two more problems if you wanna check.
First one is about the female witcher boots. They are still vanilla steel boots. Male version works well on my part though. The second problem is about the Nilfgaardian shield having no textures. I checked in Nifskope and the path still is texture\Zefiros\ [...] and even by changing that to the right path, I still had just the shield silhouette.
God dang, I really should test this stuff better, thanks for the heads up again :) latest release should fix these issues. and thank you thank you for the kind words, It makes me truly glad your enjoying my armor mods!
How do you make the armor reflective? Is it in the materials? Can it be done through nifskope or is it something that must be done through something like blender?
Thank you man, appreciate it. Ive got an Ebony set sitting on my pc atm, similar to this just some edits of other modders vanilla-esque assets, phitts ebony sallet, VGR etc.
regarding the ol reflectivity, I'm not too sure how exactly it works tbh. I just typed 'EnvMap2', like I'd seen on other reflective armors, in the NiMaterialProperty section of the NiTriShapes that I wanted reflective in Nifskope. It worked most of the time, but sometimes it just didn't at all. There some proper info on it at the bottom of Reflective Armors description.
Great mod! But please make a mod that imports armor from the "New Legion" mod by NordwarUA. Here is the link to the mod. The author has given permission to transfer the mod to this game. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/30468
