About this mod

Adds new NPCs to Chorrol.

So, one thing I always enjoyed about Oblivion was creating new NPCs. That's how I first started modding. Creating basic NPCs with basic AI packages to fill in voids in the world. Granted, as I got deeper into modding I was able to make more complex NPCs. NPCs who could sleep, gather things, deliver goods, travel via scripts, execute other NPCs, fight large scale battles, etc etc. It might seem simple to the way more seasoned modders in the community, but to me doing this was revolutionary and fun.

One of the first NPC mods I ever did, but never released, was a crowded cities mod in Chorrol - my favorite city. NPCs had neatly done schedules to make them feel alive. Thieves, snitches, jailbirds, guards, and more! I wanted to return to those roots by doing a whole new mod series, but with the modding knowledge I have now.

Hence, Denizens of Cyrodiil.

What this mod does is add 8 new NPCs to Chorrol with unique names and schedules to truly make them feel alive. Some have secrets they hide, others are engaged in unscrupulous activities or alliances, memberships in certain guilds or factions. All of this, in the name of making the world seem more alive and crowded.

Below are the list of NPCs I created with a little bit of what they do and how they idle their time away in game.

Got any ideas for more NPCs for Chorrol? Drop them in the comments, if I like the idea, I'll do it!

THE NPCs:

Ser Tyranus Lanius

A noble Knight living in Chorrol. Having served with Count Chorrol during his final days, he spends his time protecting the current Countess of Chorrol and serving the banner of the Great Oak Tree to the best of his ability. He is also devout, and will attend church services on Wednesday. During Allies for Bruma, he will be dispatched to aid the Chorrol Soldiers in the Battle for Bruma.

Stinky Quimas

A pauper of the lowest order, living the normal life of a beggar in Chorrol. He doesn't do much, but seems to spend much time by the front gate compared to the other begging hotspots. Yet he seems like a nice and friendly enough fellow, despite his unfortunate circumstances. All of this is a facade, however, to hide his allegiance to darkness...

Briirin

A Wood Elf that is never seen by the public, but his presence is known by all. Known for his frequent nighttime walks and secluded nature. Some more bellicose and religious members of the community speculate on his nature, and whether it's evil or not. However, he's not as evil as he may seem... Just a misunderstood soul.

Seraia

A huntress that has traveled all the way from Hammerfell to seek the dangerous game within The Great Forest. She is known to be a no nonsense Hunter who cares little for the social nature of Chorrol's denizens, and much prefers her solace within her hunts.

Weynis Bonhaire

A Nobleman from High Rock and advisor to Countess Chorrol. He is also a staunch member of the Mages Guild and will often travel to the Arcane University to read up in the Mystic Archives before making the long trek back home. He has a horse stabled outside Chorrol that he has come to name Jackrabbit for it's speed

Sirino Entulus

Rasheda's apprentice. He can mostly be found working alongside her in her smithy, repairing gear for travelers and adventurers. On some days, he can also be found wandering outside if it isn't raining or even attending church services.

Ma'athra

The Khajiiti bouncer of The Oak and Crosier. He just guards the place, and won't really speak or want to speak much about it. Despite this, every so often he can be found in The Grey Mare, enjoying a meal and getting away from the noise of the upper class establishment. He wields the unique weapon, the Hardy Club.

Kaanari

The sister of Talasma, and hostess of The Oak and Crosier. Unlike the bouncer, she's a friendly Khajiit and even wears a noble dress to further associate herself with said nobility. She can be found at times wandering the streets or attending church services while also maintaining her job at the tavern. However, it's all a facade. After all, something shady is going on in The Oak and Crosier...
