Choose the random Oblivion plane you will explore, choose your sigil stone among a selection of largely improved ones, instantly go back to the portal and see it close on its own.

What's new with this update?
If you use a portal you need to close to receive reinforcements for Bruma or the one near Fort Sutch you should be teleported back to it and see it close on its own once you have taken one of the sigil stones I have created.


Are you sick and tired of the game choosing the random Oblivion planes instead of you?
Do you sometimes want to visit a specific plane and are sick and tired of having to save and reload during something like 15 minutes with the unavoidable crashes to desktop?
Then rejoice because now you can choose the Oblivion plane you will explore.
When you activate a random gate you will always choose your plane in the selection menu.


You probably need Oblivion script extender for this mod to work properly.

Once you installed this mod you automatically receive the spell Back to the Oblivion gate.
If you use a mod that allows to delete spells and accidentally delete this one open the console ² and type


player.setstage OPSAddRandomOblivionGateMarkerSpell 10



you can repeat the operation as many times as required.



The sigil stones don't reappear after your first visit. Activate the claw lever To the chamber of the sigil stones on the other side of the upper platform of the sigillum sanguinis and once inside make your choice among a selection of 20 improved sigil stones.


You won't find any useless skill fortification or effect you can apply with a petty soul gem in the Arcanes University in my custom-made sigil stones but useful and hard to get effects like spell and damage reflection for example.

If you are at least level 17 you will enjoy the most powerful enchantments and can use every weapon enchantment 255 times in a row before you need to refill it.


When you pick a sigil stone you are immediately teleported back to the portal that collapses.

This also works with the mod-added portals in mod-added cells as long as they use a script I modified.


If you enter a mod-added portal leading to one of the random planes taking a sigil stone I added will teleport you to another gate if the portal uses a script the author of mod created. Should this happen fast-travel to the mod-added gate, open the console, click on the portal and type

If you want to recover the spell that takes you Back to the Oblivion gate you know what to do, don't you?


When you will have completed the main quest you won't have any point in keeping this mod installed.

Setup:
Copy Oblivion plane selector.esp in your Oblivion\Data folder.
Activate preferably using Oblivion mod manager or Wrye Bash
You can use LOOT to sort your load order.


Uninstall:
You should probably better go away from the random Oblivion gates
Open the console and type


player.setstage UninstallOblivionPlaneSelector 10


save, quit Oblivion, go to your Oblivion\Data folder and remove Oblivion plane selector.esp


Conflicts and incompatibilities:
This mod is incompatible with those that modify the script of the random Oblivion gates.
