I had the same issue as SandGentleman. I have Qarls texture pack 3 installed and it seemed to cause this bug (the door texture is corrupted maybe?). So I tried to solve it by replacing QTP's broken texture with MageGuildDoor01.dds. And it worked - but not as good as this mod does. I wish I could find it earlier and don't waste my time... Anyway, thank you for helping us :)
I was having an issue with my ChorrolLoadDoorUpper01 and ChorrolLoadDoorUpper02 being purple in my game, but thanks to your mod I was able to find the correct texture file path in my Data folder to solve the problem. Turns out the texture for the Chorrol load doors is MageGuildDoor01.dds. So thanks for the assistance!
