    I love the mod. However, one thing that bugs me is the spells description which reads, "script effect for 60 seconds on self". I was wondering if it was possible to change the description to something more lore/ immersion friendly like "stand still, gather your thoughts, and regain your magicka". :)

      I did some work. Unfortunately, the way the "spell descriptions" work is to simply state the effect and how long the effect lasts. I can't make it a "proper sentence," but I can give it a nice name.

      I've renamed the effect to "Flow of Aetherium." While you Meditate, you are connected to the plane of light that shines through the stars and grants magic to Mundus. The raw power flows into your being and rejuvenates your stores of magicka. I hope that's enough to keep immersion for you.

    I got an idea about something similar from watching Angkor Bonzaibergs videos where his character is using painting and dancing animations all the time.

    The idea was, when you use animations that represent "letting go activities" like dancing, painting, playing an instrument (there are mods like actors ball etc that add such animations) until the in game free camera kicks in, then you have entered "let go mode" or flow or whatever you want to call it, and at that moment you get full magicka.
    You could also use sitting down until that happens, when the screen starts spinning is when you have entered meditative state and then the you get full magicka.

    With this method you don't need to use any spell to start it, just sit down and wait a bit or use one of those animations.

    It's like the Psijic Order Meditate skill line from ESO but focus only on restoring magicka, neat!

      I went with magicka-only for two reasons. 1: I normally use restoration spells for healing. 2: I use a mod that makes stamina more important, and I didn't want to take away from that. Plus, I see all three "resource pools" as completely separate entities that should be recovered differently.

      If someone really wants the regen to work for everything, maybe I could make a version that did so. However, I think it would make much more sense to just increase "out of combat regen" instead of "meditating" if refreshing all the pools is the goal. If you want EVERYTHING topped off, might as well do it automatically.

      Anyways, always looking for ideas and suggestions. If anyone has any thoughts about these systems, please let me know!

      Okay, I just complimenting that it remind me of the same name skill from ESO, mostly of the name & magicka regen wise. Sorry if I came off in anyway of implying I want all 3 resource pools to be regen, your mod is great as is!

      Kinda agree of the resource pools should be recovered differently, from a more in-depth when I said I see your mod as lore friendly, from that & also from a roleplay perspective, magic users not from the Psijic Order (or aren't a very powerful god being or etc) would likely only do one of the pools (in this case only magicka regen) for they don't have the same training as members from the order.

      Thanks for your insight. I'll admit I didn't consult the lore first. I was very gameplay focused making this mod. I really like your interpretation for things.

      I agree with you 2 about the resource pools should be recovered differently, and I was thinking what about mod similar to this one which makes you heal very slowly while not in combat or detected but you can still walk (not run). Sort of a less strict "meditate" but the regen is very slow (maybe 5% of health per second so it takes 20 seconds no matter if your health pool is small or huge.

      It would be a spell you could use after combat but only if you were in a situation where you could be calm (not combat, not detected and so on). This mean you won't have to sit quietly somewhere and wait for you magicka to regen (for those who don't use "Meditate - Magicka Regen" or similar mods I guess) so you can spam you heal spell until ready to proceed in the dungeon.

      I can see where you are coming from with this. I'm going to rewrite my mod, turn this into the 1-stop solution for auto-regen.
      I mean... I've wanted something to do, lol.

    Could you add a combat version that would debuff you as a trade off, like heavily reduce speed and add damage weakness, kind of like you're sacrificing physical energy for magic, which would be way more immersive than potion spamming imo

    I like the way you've solved this issue. Very good immersive solution.

    After trying it I have suggestions even though I will endorse it as is:

    1. Have a softer sound or no sound effect at all since this is a meditation and it feels a bit odd with that pang from the sound effect.
    2. Could the regen be slower? I feel like my character barely meditates. I get full magicka instantaneous. If it took say 5 seconds it might feel better.
    3. Maybe play an animation/idle if any good meditation idle exist. Perhaps the Mages Guild greetings idle seen in this mod.?
    4. Could the spell be added to a few spell merchants instead of getting it for free?

    I think that's enough suggestion :D Anyway, as I said this mod is awesome already so I'm endorsing it. Thanks for the mod.

      Alright, I made an update for you.

      1. Added a setting for 4 different sound options: including disabling the sound.
      2. Added a setting for time to regen. Default is 3
      3. I don't want to touch animations. I don't know how sensitive animations are with all the different skeleton and animation mods out there.
      4. I won't put the spell in a merchant because:
           a. This is a replacement for "waiting" for magicka, therefore should be available right from the start
           b. As soon as I try to add anything to a merchant, the mod is then open to conflicts with other mods.

      Just so you know, you can edit the Meditate.ini file while the game is running to try the different settings.

      Also, I found an easy way to reduce the sound volume. Should be much better now.
