EDIT! (3-2-24)
Many thanks to this random ass streamer on youtube for doing a video on my gun mod! Watch a stream including it here. (Timestamp @ 35:07)

OVERVIEW
This is a remake of hardcoreben's Soul Gun mod made back in 2006 with some minor changes. Requires JRoush's Oblivion Magic Extender mod.

THE CHANGES
  • Fixed the infamous sound bug from the original mod where the sound that should be from the gun firing only applies to targets hit. This changes it so it actually sounds like a proper gun firing and adds a ricochet sound effect for the area effect.
  • Gives the gun it's own magical effect instead of overwriting Mehrunes Dagon's custom attack spell.
  • Changes the gun's enchantment to fire only one shot instead of two per soul gem, since I thought it was weird that a single shot blunderbuss had two shots like a double barreled shotgun. To help balance it out I set it to only require 800 soul energy per shot as opposed to 1500 from before (the same amount as a common soul gem)

WHERE TO GET IT
Can be purchased from Gunder at Colovian Traders in Skingrad (base item price of 16,450 septims).

Alternatively if you can't afford it (or just want to get in on the shooting fun right away), you can find the gun as well as some ammo and an infinite ammo cheat version of the gun (The Arquebus of the Musketeer) inside the Weapons Warehouse of the Testing Hall (accessible by typing in "coc warehouseweapons" into the console without the quotes)

KNOWN BUGS
May have to create a fresh save in order to use it (not sure if this is the result of me having a huge ass load order with a bunch of mods or if its something to do with OBME, since it crashes whenever I try to use it on one of my older previous saves. If anybody knows what causes this and wants to make a patch to fix it, go right head.
