1.1 update: new retextures added for Golden Saint armor, Amber armor, both classes of Mania clothing, and Sheogorath's regalia! They'll be noted in the list below, or you can just look at the new images. The Sheogorath regalia recolors now have their own dedicated icons! Some of the 1.0 textures have been tweaked a bit too, just small adjustments here and there. More importantly, support has been added for Robert's Female and Seamless OCOv2/Seamless RM and HGEC!

This update doesn't distribute the clothes onto NPCs, not yet - I still haven't decided how to best go about doing that. Truth be told, I just was too excited by how well the Purple Amber turned out to not post this now!

If you are a user of Wrye Bash (versions 310+), wonderful news! Nexusmods user Dispensation has created a mod which will distribute some of the new Mania and Dementia clothing items to various NPCs!

---

The armor sets included with the Shivering Isles expansion are among the most iconic in the franchise. But have you ever wanted to have them in more than one color? I sure have! So, this mod was born. SI Clothing and Armor Retextures (referred to as just SICR for short, because I like shorter acronyms) adds in several recolors of not only armors, but clothing included in the Shivering Isles as well. These retextures are for purchase in some of the Shivering Isles stores, but you can find the clothing in containers throughout the world as well, as they've been added into the correct levelled lists. I've left the armor out of the relevant levelled lists because I figured it would look strange if the Mazken and Aureal started mixing and matching, lol.

Here is a list of everything this mod adds, as well as the locations you can find the items in question:

-Golden Saint armor set (helmet, armor, shield), bought from the Missing Pauldron:
  • Rose
  • Magenta
  • Blue
  • Mint
  • Teal [1.1]

-Dark Seducer armor set (helmet, armor, shield), bought from Cutter's Weapons:
  • Magenta
  • Rose
  • Grey

-Amber armor set (helmet, cuirass, gauntlets, greaves, boots, shield), bought from the Missing Pauldron:
  • Purple [1.1]

-Mania clothing (pants, shirt, shoes for the lower class, the outfit itself for the upper class), bought from Common Treasures:
  • Light teal regalia
  • Verdant green regalia
  • Magenta regalia [1.1]
  • Purple lower class clothing set
  • Blue lower class clothing set
  • Indigo lower class clothing set
  • Red lower class clothing set [1.1]

-Dementia clothing (pants, shirt, shoes for the lower class, the outfit itself for the upper class), bought from Things Found:
  • Indigo finery
  • Green finery
  • Grey finery
  • Blue lower class clothing set
  • Olive lower class clothing set
  • Red lower class clothing set

-Special clothing (Haskill's suit, Sheogorath's regalia), bought from Earil's Mysteries:
  • Blue Haskill suit
  • Purple Haskill suit
  • Grey Haskill suit
  • Mint Haskill suit
  • Teal Sheogorath regalia (both enchanted & unenchanted versions)
  • Violet Sheogorath regalia (both enchanted & unenchanted versions)
  • Pink Sheogorath regalia (both enchanted & unenchanted versions)
  • Aqua Sheogorath regalia (both enchanted & unenchanted versions)
  • Navy Sheogorath regalia (both enchanted & unenchanted versions) [1.1]

You can also type "coc SICRTestingCell" into the console to be taken to the room I used for testing, if you want to get your hands on a certain retexture and either can't buy it or don't feel like paying for it! All of the new items added are located in a respawning cupboard in that room :)

Because these are just retextures and not remodels, there are a lot of body replacer options available. It's up to you, the user, to have your body replacer of choice installed and working properly before trying to use these meshes! They are the following:
  • vanilla Bethesda (I'll be referring to this as just the "Standard" option for the purposes of this description)
  • EC/HGEC
  • Robert's Male
  • Robert's Female
  • TGND
  • TeamFF
  • Seamless OCOv2 (because this is both RM and HGEC, do not select the separate RM and HGEC options!)
  • What about BAB? I don't know who to contact to get permission to include BAB meshes in this file!

To be clear, I didn't make any of these meshes nor can I guarantee I can provide support if they aren't working correctly! I use the vanilla Bethesda body in my game, but I included body replacer support because they are of course quite popular mods and it's relatively easy (if time consuming) to do so! This is also why all of the screenshots (save some exceptions I'll mention later) are using the vanilla Bethesda meshes.

ANY FUTURE PLANS FOR THE MOD?

Yes! I've enjoyed every step of making this mod and I want to continue making more recolors in the future, if I can! Also, I want to find the most compatibility-friendly was to distribute these new recolors to NPCs, and perhaps as loot as well. And I'm thinking of making dedicated icons for the clothes too.

INSTALLATION: For reasons I will get into later, I recommend using Wrye Bash. However, this can be installed the same way as any other mod with custom resources, including manually. If you're installing SICR manually, just ensure all the meshes, textures, and the SICR .esp included with this mod are copied and pasted into the appropriate locations in your Data folder, and make sure you've checked the SICR .esp in your launcher or mod manager so that it's active!

If you're using one of the body replacers I included, then after you've installed the Standard version of the mod, simply copy and paste the folder of the replacer in question and allow to overwrite the meshes of the replacer you use. For instance, if you use RM, then copy the "Meshes" folder in the RM folder and paste it into the "Meshes" folder in your game directory. When a dialogue box asks you to overwrite, let it do so to overwrite the vanilla body versions with the RM versions.

Again, make sure to install the Standard version of SICR first! this is for 2 reasons:
a) that's how you get the _gnd models and icons, and
b) some outfits don't have versions for all body replacers, so you need the Standard versions of the outfits to make sure things don't break, lol!

The reason I say you should use Wrye Bash to install this is because it's set up to be installed with Wrye Bash. Pop the extracted folder into the Wrye Bash installers and tick the boxes that you need to tick (namely, the "Core" file because that is the Standard version, plus whichever body replacers you need, if any), and activate. Easy!

IF YOU'RE UPGRADING FROM THE 1.0 RELEASE: you can uninstall and reinstall the whole thing the same way you installed it originally if you really want to (especially if you need to change body replacer options), but you can also do it manually. Just copy and paste the new files into your existing Data folder and let them be overwritten, including the .esp file! The reason I'm not just providing a separate update file is because, as I said, some of the textures from the 1.0 release have been edited a bit and I honestly can't remember exactly which ones I edited, lol.

anyway, if you're updating, you should unequip any of the items from this mod and exit any of the affected cells before doing so - it shouldn't break anything if you don't do this, but it's best to be on the safe side and do so anyway!

COMPATIBILITY:

Changes made by the USIP to the stores' cells have been carried over into this mod, so there's no problems there. If you use body replacers, you might result in incorrect skin textures with any of the armors that show off skin. I've included versions for several popular replacers to prevent this!

The following Standard outfits are not using the vanilla Bethesda meshes, however they either don't have any skin showing or have very little skin showing and thus are safe to use with any body replacer without worry:

-male Golden Saint armor (mesh used is RM). I didn't use the vanilla mesh because I just don't like it very much!
-male and female Haskill's suits (meshes used are RM & HGEC). I didn't use a vanilla mesh because it doesn't exist for female characters, and the male mesh came along with the female mesh so I figured I ought to use it as well!

Regarding Sheogorath's regalia: I haven't found a dress version of the regalia for TGND yet.

Regarding Haskill's suit: I haven't found a TGND, RF, or Seamless version of Haskill's suit yet.

KNOWN BUGS/ISSUES/WARNINGS:

Neither a bug nor an "issue" really, but definitely note that everything is balanced around vanilla SI. Stats were taken directly from vanilla SI armors, the setup of the levelled lists to get them to appear are identical to vanilla SI levelled lists, and prices were based off of vanilla SI prices. Meaning, you won't be able to buy the daedric-equivalent Golden Saint armors at level 1, and even if you did magically find some available for purchase it would likely be too expensive to buy and too heavy to use!

The lower class Mania clothing is set up to use whichever normal map you already have for the lower class Mania clothing, as opposed to me having provided a normal map like with all the others. This is because of issues I had during testing. If they aren't working for you, let me know! In a future update, they'll likely have their own normal maps like everything else, I just need to learn a bit more first.

NOW, all that being said: the above line is written in the ReadMe and is not incorrect, but I did decide to add in a normal map into the file. HOWEVER, it will overwrite whatever normal maps you currently have. Therefore, if you don't want your existing normal maps to be overwritten, just delete the files in question and please refer to the above warning once again.

Also, there aren't matching weapon retextures yet, just the shields. Maybe I'll add them someday, but that day is not today!

REQUIRED/RECOMMENDED MODS AND TOOLS:

Shivering Isles, of course!

Wrye Bash is also highly recommended, as SICR has BASH tags in its .esp description to allow it to work alongside any other mods that alter the same levelled lists that SICR does. But, if you don't have any other mods that alter the same levelled lists or simply don't care and are willing to let SICR override any other mods that do such a thing, then Wrye Bash is not technically necessary!
