I didn't have this problem before but coming back to oblivion after a few months to start a new game I have this exact same issue, did you find a fix? This is one of the most disturbing bugs I've ever seen lol I've never encountered a problem like this before.

Okay, I managed to fix it somehow. Changed some settings in the oblivion ini file in regards to loading background faces plus opened the oblivion launcher and reset graphics settings and now it's working correctly again.

Modding this game can be kind of a nightmare sometimes.

I just tried out this mod and it makes the khajiit have super elongated faces.

This sounds like a user issue, not an issue with this mod.

There has to be a mod that causes the game to load the vanilla files rather than the nuska files.

I think my game is not loading the new face textures with the Mer races as Mer characters have mismatched body and face textures, it's not game breaking but is notable (like my Dunmer Female character having a highly detailed greenish-grey body but a somewhat low-resolution and blue-ish grey head texture.

P.S: Found the issue, the Race Relations mod caused the game to load the vanilla body and texture files rather than the nuska files.

Is it still recommended to use both mods - Improved NPC Faces for OCOv2 and Oblivion Character Overhaul v2 - DLC Addon?

Do you need the Seamless - OCOv2 mod when you use this mod?

You should also install Seamless - OCOv2 after this if you want that, yes.

So, what is the order of loading mods? and what's the reason to install oco seamless if advanced edition mod version is the latest? what exactly does seamless fix/add that it doesn't have here?

      1. Use LOOT.

      2. Because this mod doesn't include the OCO Seamless mod. OCO Seamless removes the neck seams.

The bashed patch is empty.  Using Vortex for the unofficial patches and OBMM for the rest of it.

Fixed issue, was a mis-loaded texture file.  But now certain male orcs are showing up with green ears.  I have Archive Invalidation and am using OBMM.  Not sure what is missing.

Don't use OBMM, use Wrye Bash instead.

And do what, exactly?  I tried to make a bashed patch, but that didn't seem to fix the issue..

Was i supposed to only  implement the meshes and textures(which is what i did) of the original ocov2 without the esp? I keep having this issue even with the bashed patched where the heads are textureless telling me to install blockhead despite already having that, was the original mod being installed first before this one the correct order for its esp to be overwritten? i'm inexperienced when it comes to using  wyre bash and modding oblivion.
FIXED: turns out i was missing a component obse

The orc on the right looks a bit off. Is this normal?

Use also Improved NPC Faces for OCOv2 to address the orcs.

Is this mod compatible with the Robert's bodies textures patch from original OCO2? When I tried to use them with this for some reason all non-human races suddenly had differently colored bodies from faces, for example orcs kept their dark green OCO2 Texture bodies and ears, but had neon lime faces, like the vanilla textures.
I attempted to run the game without the patches but it didn't load at all.
If it matters, I use both Wrye Bash and MO2.
