A complete rebuild of Discovery1's weather mod.

Versions for Vanilla, ENB and Oblivion reloaded.



The genesis of this rebuild came from our Middle Earth mod, we needed a better more immersive weather system with the notion that a little distant fog adds to the mystery of forests etc. We added all the new weathers to a variable weather script to ensure that all weathers can be experienced during game time according to regional climates. The weather around Bruma and to the north will always be more wintry, Thunderstorms can happen virtually anywhere.
Most textures are new and we have included a modified cloud globe whereby the UV map is altered in order to visualize a less tiled sky. 
All weather except Clear will have an element of distant fog, cloudy weathers and rain will have closer fog. Skywide weathers less so.
Changes have been made to the snow nif for more realism and also to match one of our options, Additional weather effects.
HDR lighting has been adjusted for a less harsh look re grass and trees.

We have included our own tailored enb, and OR shader suggestions and also for OR its own shader suggestions. Use these or your own but we cannot guarantee the look of the mod without our own shader setup. The OR shaders are from an older dependable version, whether they will work with the latest OR remains to be seen however its reasonably easy to copy the text over to later versions. I prefer OR ambient occlusion to ENB

Additional weather effects


Adds 2 fx, localised snow flurries and a subtle snowy wind across the Jerral Mountains from The shrine of Hermaeus Mora to the border of Morrowind and throughout Stendar valley, Bruma, Pale pass and north into Skyrim. If you have TWMP and Skyrim Alive installed, you will find snow flurries as far north as Riften.
The snow flurries reinforce the snowy weather and are permanent, giving the feeling that snow is likely to fall. I think they really add to the immersive experience.

Drifting Mist 2021

We extracted the drifting mist from Discovery1's natural ambience mod, and expanded it, versions for Vanilla, ENB and Oblivion Reloaded.
Expect to see this around Hackdirt, Ayleid Dungeons and waterways. Also along the ridge from Varondo to the Jerral mountains and also in Blackwood 

The three plugins work well together but realising that not all may be required we have not merged them.

Instalation

Extract the data files and place accordingly, no sky textures will be overwritten.

We used Tell Peter weather control mod by Tesa Plus for testing which works well as our mod is based on Atmospheres heaven and hell.
It has to be said though that forcing of the games weathers can cause the grey skies bug if you make a save after constantly changing the weather.
One quick fix is to immerse your character underwater briefly to return to normality (seriously) I think it resets the adaptation but I may be wrong.
