BPN - First Person Perspective

idgafaboutnames
A first-person modification to Maskar's Basic Primary Needs

version 1.0 2021-11-21

Description
=========

This mod provides a more immersive, first-person thought perspective when running Maskar's Basic Primary Needs. Notifications will pop up in the top left corner of the screen to indicate how hungry, thirsty, and sleepy your character is.

In Maskar's mod, these messages are written in a 2nd person perspective, but as I'm running a few mods that change some messages to a first person perspective, I felt it was a bit out of place... So I made this.

I also did my best to give some of the messages a bit more flavor... Some may or may not be sarcastic or a bit cynical in nature.

Note: This mod only edits the messages that appear in English. So if you play Oblivion in anything other language while using this mod, you won't see the changes.

Requirements
=========

Basic Primary Needs is required to use this mod. You will also need OBSE and anything else that is required to run Maskar's Basic Primary Needs.

Incompatibilities
=========

This mod will most likely not work as intended if you use HUD status bars with Maskar's Basic Primary Needs. With HUD status bars enabled, the notifications that appear in the top left of your screen go away.

Install
=========

Installation with a mod organizer such as MO2 or Wrye Bash would be your safest option. Simply install as archive.
You can also merge this into a bashed patch using Wrye Bash.

Alternatively, you can unzip the file and copy/paste BPN - First Person Perspective.esp into Oblivion's data folder.
Open Oblivion's launcher, click data files, and activate the mod.

***USE MANUAL INSTALL AT YOUR OWN RISK***

This mod should go after Basic Primary Needs.esp in your load order.

Uninstall
=========

Save the game manually. No auto saves or quicksaves.

If installed with a mod organizer, deactivate the mod and unistall using the mod organizer.

If installed manually, open Oblivion's launcher, click datafiles, and disable the mod. Then, delete the files associated with the mod from the Oblivion's data folder.

If you merged this into a bashed patch, you will need to rebuild your bashed patch after unistalling the mod.
