About this mod

Inspired by Save In Chapels and at Shrines, this mod restricts saving to only when you exit the wait/rest menu (either by actually passing time or just backing out). Since you cannot wait when enemies are nearby, this allows for tension both during fights and when you are just exploring somewhere dangerous.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
I made this mod due to some dissatisfaction with two existing mods:
- Better Saves is supposed to disallow saving during combat. For whatever reason, I could not get that to work, and I was not in the mood to try to figure it out.
- Save in Chapels and at Shrines is a very cool idea, but I did not feel the need to be that restrictive, especially since it mostly amounted to tedious fast travelling because I had no money.

So, borrowing and adapting a bit of code from the latter, I made this mod. If you enter the wait/rest menu, and then leave it by any means, your game will save. All other forms of saving are disabled. Like in SICS, you get 5 save "slots," which I think makes for a nice advantage over me sticking to the vanilla autosave on rest stuff, and then you getting exactly one save. Also like that mod, saves include character names, so you can have multiple characters going at the same time.

This mod requires OBSE, but nothing else. It should be compatible with literally everything, although using it with other saving-type mods is obviously not advised.

CREDITS
Thanks to DavaScript, whose aforementioned mod Save in Chapels and at Shrines inspired me to make this, and from which I borrowed and adapted the basic part of its code for this mod.

PERMISSIONS
This mod is literally just some simple code that, in hindsight, I probably could have mostly come up with on my own just from looking at the wiki and OBSE docs. So, like, do whatever. Although credit for me and more importantly DavaScript would be nice, and is a very good habit to get into.
