Nice mod, but isn't it a wee bit unrealistic? Is this physically possible to draw such a long sword from the back?
Haven't tried a mod myself yet to see it in action.

The claymore unsheathing animation also isn't setup for scabbards, so there will be some clipping.

According to Keith Ammann, in his D&D tactics book "Live to Tell the Tale", back scabbards "are ahistorical nonsense, promulgated by clever film editing." I'm inclined to agree with him.

Can't say I've ever given it too much thought to be honest. I just think they look cool.

In historical times, most people using two-handed swords would simply sheathe them at the hip, like any longsword. They'd have to shift the angle a bit to compensate for the added length, but there was usually no issue. When it came to extremely long swords, though, a sheathe/scabbard was usually out of the question. Soldiers would either carry them around with the blade flat on their shoulder, or they'd hook the crossguard around their shoulder blade and carry them around like that. Because of the extra long handle most of these swords had, it wasn't all that uncomfortable to hold them this way as there was a fair bit of leverage.

Oblivion is, of course, a video game. With the aesthetic most other swords have (being; a scabbard), I'd rather have them hanging in a scabbard of some sort, than suspended in mid-air, like the vanilla game. It requires some suspension of disbelief, but with how impractical it would be to develop a system and animations to carry the weapon in a historical manner, this more than suffices (in my humble opinion).

Besides, the scabbards look nice ;P

Probably ought to see all the videos that YouTuber Shadiversity has made on the subject. He repeatedly demonstrates not only that it can be done but its not even that hard.

I have an error with the iron claymore, the texture is really bad and broken

I just put the "Meshes" folder in my "Data" folder, so i think that i installed right :C

Only 1 mesh (iron) conflicts with WIP mod. Also, ebony mesh conflicts with Ebony Sword Replacer mod from the same author. You can simply delete these 2 (or 1 if you don't have the second mod) meshes from Push's mod and you'll be fine :)

Great mod! Love how much you've been releasing for Oblivion as of late.
