It adjusts the lighting as you enter the cell (or change settings), then the lighting is reverted to the original values when you leave the cell, so leaves no footprint. You can only see one cell at a time so I thought this was the best way to do it..
So do you mean that I would have to adjust the settings every time I enter a new cell?
or is it just the lighting value itself only changes when entering a cell (doesn't save changes into save-game), but all cells share the same value set in the link menu?
So let's say I'm using Let There Be Darkness - another mod that adjusts the ambient lighting, when I leave the cell will it revert the ambient lighting value to the settings of Let There Be Darkness or will it revert it to the vanilla value?
Whichever mod last touches the lighting values of that cell record, that's the value you will get. But I'm pretty sure this mod makes let there be darkness redundant, so.. why would you?
I found this mod by looking for one that made interiors brighter in SB_LightingManager.cfg there are two lines, one of dungeons and one for interiors: set LINK.cfg_setting_max to 100 Just change the 100 to whatever, I choose 200.
I have problems with this too. I want to make my ini settings automatically load on a new game, but I always have to go into link and set the values. If I install this mod without link installed, will the ini file work then? Do you think I may also have to install lighting manager without the config file for the ini to work?
If it can't find the config file (SB_LightingManager.cfg) then I believe it will revert to the ini. I will try to update this at some point for new games..
is there a way to make it so that the ini file automatically loads whatever custom settings you type into it, even if you do use link? only asking because it would be cool to not have to open link to set lighting on new games. it would also be nice to not have to dive into the script and edit it. or maybe the cfg file could be edited?
Couldn't figure out for the life of me why it only worked in dungeons until I realized that it was immersive interiors. If you use that mod, you'll need less immersive interiors. After I installed that, this mod worked like a charm! Great stuff.
A very good mod that I can see being extremely helpful with Low-End computers who don't want to use Oblivion Reloaded or ENB, and don't want to fiddle balancing out 5 different lighting setting mods that are available. Intuitive through LINK and works as advertised.
The only downside is I tested this out and unfortunately it doesn't work with Oblivion Reloaded or ENB. Adjusted all the settings to 0, then 100, and with those two installed I didn't see any difference. BUT it does work on Vanilla settings at least, as far as I saw. Unless I'm doing something wrong.
Is it possible to make a 'default' setting that automatically implements on entering a cell? I just don't want to open up the popup menu and change it every time.
Ahhh my apologies, I got confused by your previous reply here. 'It means it doesn't make any permanent changes.' I believed that to mean when you enter / exit a cell it defaults back to it's original lighting scheme. I'm using it now and it works like a charm, thank you!

No. When you enter a cell, it automatically adjusts the lighting based on the current settings.
Then it reverts when you leave the cell.
So no permanent changes, only the cell you are currently in is affected.
set LINK.cfg_setting_max to 100

I tried setting different values in the ini file, but that did not work.

Changes Only Effect the Current Cell and are Reverted On Cell Change.
Installed but don't think it's working. Not showing up in Link, but SB_ArrowMaster does.
Greetings to all lovers of the atmosphere in games.
