I've always fantasized about what the uncompressed vanilla textures would of looked like. This is as close as I'll ever get to fulfilling that. Thanks for crossing something off my bucket list lol ;)

I wanted to thank you for your excellent work, I downloaded the 4x diffuse version and the result is spectacular, it is magnificent. A great pleasure to replay this great game after so many years and of this quality. Thank you and very good continuation to you, well done ;-)
EDIT : Finally I added the normal 4x, relief and details are even better. Big thanks.

How do I install it? I installed it via putting it into the Data folder and it didn't do anything- just making a seperate folder for the textures in the data folder as opposed to the mesh and texture folders
EDIT: Nevermind, i was dragging the full folder into the Data directory, as opposed to just the mesh and texture folders, oof

1st of all, great job big fan, all that (specifically thanks for the redone OCOv2 head meshes; the only way to roleplay with a breton was as the Crimson Chin). Anyways, why is the file size so large in comparison to v2?

V2 has some optimizations by using a scale factor 2 for certain sections (i.e. clutter), whereas this mod is just a blanket factor of 4.

Kartoffels I have to complain, that I find nothing to complain, what a disapointment.
Thank you for your time and passion :)

I'd like to ask about clothes textures in the V4 version since the "character" comparison makes the V4 clothes look much less detailed than V2.
Is this something that is present on all clothes or is this just a very bad example?
Are armors "muddyfied" the same way or do they have all their details intact?
Also, is this something that was already fixed or will be fixed?
And is there any clothes mod that keeps them looking vanilla but with much better textures to run alongside V4 until the clothes get fixed?
I'd like to use V4 over V2 but this is really putting me off, since the "Play-Doh" clothes really stick out in front of that pristine-looking wall.

v4 was just a test of REALESRGAN model, while v2 uses multiple models. If you want the look of the clothes from v2, use the folder textures/clothes/ from v2.

As per description, anything here is offered without any support. You are free to make any modifications you wish and share them as desired.

After installing this mod (following the configuration guide for default -> sl -> dlc -> knights -> diffuse), interior cells seem to work fine but exteriors crash to desktop...  anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Update:  I did a complete reinstall and continued troubleshooting and the only texture (possibly mesh?) that I can tell is missing is the sky (which was probably also an issue on my initial install which explains why I was only crashing in exterior cells)... which appears completely black and soon (but not immediately) causes a crash. A cursory glance around the internet seems to suggest it could have something to do with Shaders?  But I would have no idea how to fix that - hoping someone here can help as these mods (OUT) are the only thing I've changed since I had an otherwise perfectly stable build.

Update:  Found a workaround, setting my textures to "medium" or "small" in the vanilla launcher will make my game stable again - however, I'm going to guess this means I'm not actually enjoying the new textures? Assuming they're all considered "large" by the game engine? So I could still use someone expert advice on this...

For the record: I installed with WyreBash (standalone), and have SkyBSA installed and enabled with OBSE, and I don't have any other mods that should be affecting sky textures.

Hello, first thanks for this:) I have question. Do i need to download diffuse and normals, or just decide which one of them?

diffuse and normals are two types of textures.
      Use both.

This is a pretty good overview of what they do.

Is OUT4 (This) reliant on OUT2?
