As everyone is undoubtedly aware, the official Oblivion Remastered is now a thing. This mod is not compatible and can't be used in remaster, and direct porting is not possible. The UI of the game had been changed significantly - so, even hypothetically, if a mod with similar features were to exist in remaster, it would need to be re-created from scratch - and the tools to do that are not (yet?) available. Also, some this mod's features are no longer needed in the remaster.
At the same time, I feel like continuing to develop mods for classic Oblivion - the game which was basically made obsolete now - is not really productive. This mod will receive at least one more proper update - to fix the remaining bugs, and to add any features I already started working on - but from that point onward, it will only be updated if significant bugs are discovered.
Sorry to ask especially since the remaster is here, but my gpu is too sad to run it so I'm running the classic.
My game is crashing after i close the spell inventory after deleting a spell thru your feature. I tried shifting thru the comments and bug posts but i didn't see anything on crashing after deleting a spell.
So my question is, have any clue why or know how i could track down the possible reason why myself?
I shouldn't have anything too crazy going on behind the scenes with my mods. I'm only running compatible mods, especially UI wise. Read the descriptions and requirements before installing each mod. I'm still very dumb when it comes to modding. So any insight in gratefully appreciated.
I haven't heard of or experienced anything like it. This feature is fairly simple and script is stopped after the spell is removed. Is it some specific spell you're removing or any? Custom made or bought?
The spells favorites feature of Extended UI is so needed in the Remaster. I don't understand how Virtuos didn't choose to address the problem of hving only 8 hotkeys for ++100 spells.
All these unaddressed issues are the reason why I don't uninstall my Original Oblivion modlist.
Tried using with DarnifiedUI and everything was great till I've noticed there is a description overlap during shopping/looting (as the width of the container menu there differs from normal inventory). Any way to fix that would be much appreciated.
Ah, yes, this is known issue - caused by MenuQue itself. You can't really stop it from happening completely, but it typically only shows once per reload. To fix you need to hover over any inventory item, which has a popup menu naturally (things like weapons, armor, scrolls etc.) - once you do, popup menu will be displayed normally for all items.
Putting together a new Oblivion LO today after a few years away and stumbled on this absolute gem. Great mod, would endorse twice if I could! However, I did have an issue getting one the requirements to run so wanted to leave this here for anyone else who has this issue...
Using MO2 and the latest OBSE (22.12.1) I had to manually install Menuque 16b (you should have OBSE itself installed directly into the game folder already) to get OBSE to recognize it. After switching install methods from MO2 to manual, Extended UI works as expected.
Could be a MO2 issue or could be because Menuque is so old but who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
EDIT: 99% sure you can safely delete "OBSE_Kyoma_MenuQue.dll" to get rid of some additonal error messages in MO2 as well. After doing some googling this looks like a leftover file from earlier in Menuque's development.
EDIT 2: After some further testing, I'm pretty sure I'm just an idiot and Menuque is fine. I was launching with obse_loader.exe and not Oblivion.exe. The first edit is still true though as far as I can tell.

Correct, this file was added to overwrite an old version of Menuque. It's an empty dll, which doesn't do anything, so OBSE reports that it can't load it. You can ignore the message in obse.log or delete the dll. Some mod managers are overly zealous and show an "error" message for that.

Well, you are supposed to launch with obse_loader.exe (unless you're on Steam, which might be different).

Thank you, a new fan.
