Is it safe to remove the NoMerge tag, so it can be deactivated after being imported in the bashed patch?

Do not remove the NoMerge tag.

Keep this mod deactivated at all times when using a bashed patch. This means keep it deactivated even after rebuilding the bashed patch too.

Doh! Of course ... stupid me... if it's all imported, I can simply deactivate it. Somehow got too dependend on bash deactivating things itself lol (which wouldn't do here)

    Load order?

Is it alright to put it before the Oblivion Character Overhaul Faces plugin?

Thanks for the mod by the way, i did not think it was possible to have bearded npcs when i started modding Oblivion years ago.  Blockhead is a godsend.

It can load pretty much anywhere, just make sure to use a bashed patch and verify your load order in TES4Edit.

Thank you very much for the load order advice!  And i use Wrye Bash already (it's indispensable for modding Oblivion, i think) so a bashed patch won't be a problem.

      Cheers!

You could add this https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/101/images/49898/49898-1660227597-1458173031.png to the images tab to showcase the Immersive Porters patch

Does anyone know how to add a beard in the CS to a custom made npc? Step-by-step, clear instructions please. A big THANK YOU to anyone who can help.

Rename the beard files, to the formID of the custom NPC.

Is there a way to essentially swap how the colors are changed so that it is more consistent with the NPCs original hair colors? I noticed a bunch of characters have their hair colors changed to match their new beard colors but I was wondering if it could be the other way around - so that the original hair color is preserved and the new beard is the same as that original color.

That would require the beard textures to be edited manually, instead of just editing the NPC hair records which is easier to do.

Sorry to keep bugging but this seems to have a few random stat edits to a couple NPCs. Is that intentional? Examples are 000CA18E 0003001D and 000280CC.

Yeah, but it doesn't matter because only the Hair changes are imported.

The stat changes are from the CK.

I cleaned the file completely so now only the hair color changes are left. I also uploaded a patch for Immersive Porters and Beards of Tamriel.

I had actually patched the mod for Immersive Porters myself a few days ago, but I also gave the Nord Porter a long wizard beard instead of the moustache he has by default since it doesn't really fit him.

Is there a list of who the original mod edits? I want to use it with Fearabbit's Bearded NPCs but it doesn't list who's changed.

Do you think it would be possible to implement beards on NPCs with rings? Make rings like the ones in Equippable Beards but unplayable and assign them to specific NPCs. It seems like it would be an easy method of implementation, not sure how it would work though. I want to try it myself but I don’t know how to set it up really.

Equipable Beards does have a leveled list plugin, but it assigns the beards completely randomly and also to creatures, so you'd have women and creatures with beards, and mismatching colors. I'm not sure of a way to implement beards easily besides the way Beards in Tamriel does. (Which is still very tedious.)

    Hi MissMatch,

I was wondering if you would be able to formulate a version that can be used without The unofficial patch? Wrye Bash tells me I am missing masters from that mod and must download it to be able to use this mod without any issues.

Just use a bashed patch in Wrye Bash and you don't need any of the masters, because of the Filter tag.
