Mod Name: R18PN Leere Armour Redux

Series: Armoury Module
Number: 9

Author: Myrystyr
Original Author: NPR/Kurese
Date: 11/06/2019
Categories: Armour

Requirements: HGEC (ZKEC also possible)

DESCRIPTION

Hello, and welcome to the latest effort to clean up the Imperial City. In this instalment, we take a walk down memory lane.

The armour in this mod was originally released alongside a Dancer's Dress. While I made a mod out of that dress - http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/47797/? - I did not at the time do anything with the accompanying armour. I recently decided to give the armour another look, and this mod is the result.

You can now buy Leere Armour in both Heavy and Light versions, from Maro Rufis and Varnado at The Best Defence in the Imperial City Market District. The statistics are those of Ebony and Elven armour respectively. Note that the lower body items also take up the foot slot, and that Hide Amulets and Hide Rings are not ticked on any of these items.

For images and further information, please see the original mod here: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/31341/?

As always, if you are already satisfied with the original mod this one is based on you don't have to download this mod.

CONTENTS

This mod contains all of the meshes and textures from the original mod, as well as the following esps:

1 - LeereArmourResource: New (aa) IDs are made for each item, including a respawning chest, and the items are added to the chest. No other change is made, and no cell or worldspace is affected. This is provided as a modders resource.

2 - LeereArmourLight: Light Armour versions are made, with the statistics of elven armour. The heavy armour items are given the statistics of ebony armour. A new respawning chest is made, and the light armour items are added to it. This is also a modders resource.

3 - LeereArmourRedux: The chests are added to The Best Defence in the Imperial City Market District. This is playable immediately.

The original ReadMe file is included for reference purposes.

Tools used: Construction Set, File Explorer, Notepad, 7-Zip.

CONFLICTS/ISSUES

This mod was used alongside over 100 other mods, including several of those I have made and uploaded to NexusMods. The vendor chests are pushed far enough down and away that they are unlikely to overlap with similar chests placed by other mods you might be using.

Known Issues: Clipping possible.

Skimpiness Factor: This armour is more stylish than skimpy.

Playtest Report: One of my playtest characters, flush with cash from selling off items from other mods we were testing, went into The Best Defence and bought all the light armour versions of Leere Armour. And had to drink a potion of feather in order to get out the door (good thing I didn't buy the heavy version . . .) While I experienced several inventory crashes earlier with items from the other mod, there were no problems testing this mod. Given that the bottom pieces use both the lower and foot slots, it might be worth mixing and matching the upper and gauntlet pieces with armour from other mods.

Tested on a ZKEC Wide Explorer E Nude upper body and ZKEC Extra Wide Nude lower body, with ZKEC female foot and hands.

My current roster of playtest characters are mostly low-level. Your gaming experience may differ if you favour higher-level characters.

I am reasonably certain that any persistent problems I encounter are due to general instability, resulting from using over 100 mods and/or using some mods that delete a lot of references and/or have a lot of ai packages. The latest oddity is Vinicia Melissaeia going topless, despite having dynamically added clothing from one of my mods. Perhaps she's protesting my installing the Imperial Real Estate mod?

IN CLOSING

This mod was created using the latest version of the Construction Set, and playtested with The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition. Although Shivering Isles and Knights Of The Nine were installed at the time, they are not necessary for use of this mod. No utility, e.g. OBSE, was installed or used. Screenshots may include elements of other mods.

This ReadMe is a balance of clarity and brevity, and is is assumed that the end user of this mod has read the ReadMe and understands that any issues that may arise during modded play are beyond the mod author's control.

These mods are my way of sharing some of the fun I have playing Oblivion. If you like my mods, please give a thumbs up so others can know they are appreciated; and, feel free to recommend them to others. Thank you for reading, and enjoy your gaming.
