You know on the surface that sounds like a great idea. But it actually causes extra work for someone who may want to further alter the models. For example doing retextures. That aside, vanilla models are rife with mesh errors. Combining properties/shapes (more so shapes) on models with mesh errors can cause portions of the mesh to "disappear". Or to simplify, cause the bad faces to become inverted. Which cannot then be reversed without use of a 3D modeling program.
I have experienced this issue a number of times, and for that reason alone will not "optimize" any of my free to use resources. The end users can dig into that if they choose. For what it's worth, I already fixed the portions on these models which caused me problems.
I just wanted to put a marker down ref the UOP that I don't consider this a bug, insofar as the walls are meant to be Stucco and there are instances in real like of Stucco Windows that look like this, so I think it's intentional. Now, that doesn't mean it looks *good* necessarily but we're not in the process of editorialising Bethesda Architecture.
Fair enough and thanks for clarifying Sigurd. There will always be different interpretations as to what's a bug and what's not. I understand in doing something as extensive as UOP there need to be lines drawn in the sand about what to fix...or not.
Given that at least three of the models have the wood, I personally see it as a bug. But that's my opinion...and you know what they say about opinions :). If you folks change your minds at some later date and want to use them, more than welcome.
I didn't build that in, so no. They would need to be converted to work with AWLS. It shouldn't be difficult to copy/paste the plaster and wood from these into the AWLS models. If someone wants to take a stab at it they are more than welcome.
I guess I will at some point. Unless someone beats me to it. :) (I seem to have some success with copying smoke emitters (whole branch) with their controllers (branch) from AWLS to my farmhouses. You just need to wait a few days for them to kick in. I haven't tried it with windows yet, but it probably should follow the same pattern...)

Just in case anyone asks ;)
