Hi all, new version of the mod up, let me know what you think of it and specifically what you think of the leaves - if there's too many, too few, if they look out of place etc.
Not possible. I mean, I installed QTP3 before installing this mod but besides that I don't have any other mods that would be conflicting. I know the textures are overwriting anything else because I opened them in Photoshop.
Well that's what's happening in-game. The diffuse map ("iccobblestones01.dds") from this mod is being used but the normal map ("iccobblestones01_n.dds") isn't.
The normal map should look like this: https://i.imgur.com/raHa9UD.png
I can't tell you why or how, but that's what's happening. You're just going to have to work it out, I'm afraid.
Thanks! And that's Parallax mapping, it's a feature that you can enable either buy using the meshes from Qarl's Texture Pack 3 Redimized, and/or with Oblivion Reloaded's POM shader. I had both enabled in the screenshots so it looked extra poppy, but it looks good with just the meshes, too.
You'll want all the meshes in "Meshes/Architecture/ImperialCity", technically each district has one, plus there's an extra one for the little stair area next to the doors between each district, but just install them all. The folder is only 24 MB.
Edit: I'll note without Oblivion Reloaded, the POM is quite subtle, nowhere near as "pop-y" as in the screenshots. It is there though, and it doesn't affect performance as much as OR's implimentation does as it's built into the engine.
Thanks for the bug report, was an issue with the alpha not applying properly that only affected that area, for some reason. Got a fixed version up now.
This works brilliantly with Oblivion Reloaded in that it doesn't make your eyes ache in parallax occlusion and just looks natural. As mentioned, 2K works perfectly - use 4K if you really think it makes it look better but I simply can't see the difference. Really great work here and quite an equal to the Whiterun cobbles mod in Skyrim I use. Really impressed.
OMG I was waiting for this ages! I've saw so many games with this type of texture, but unfortunately I don't know anything about working with textures. This is great, TY so much

Followed the instructions exactly. It was working before but I did a clean install and now this is happening. How do I fix?
Make sure this mod's are overwriting those.
I suggest using Mod Organizer 2 so you can see file conflicts easily.

EDIT: Got it working. Had to do archive invalidation invalidated.

if I delete iccobblestones01_n then the texture appears

I have some bad news, in that I may be adding parallax occlusion to it, if I can get it working. Sorry in advance! ?
