I'm having an issue where the models only show a purple head and feet. There are no bodies. I have Mount project and the original shade mod. any suggestions?
Beautiful! i'm honestly surprised why some people haven't thought about adding eso content too the old elder scrolls, hopefully your mod inspires! once its done downloading i'll be sure to give my kuddos and endorse.
I'd be glad to know how to add glow maps. And more natural glow to the lines. Like on the original senche in ESO. Maybe if I knew how to use 3d sculpting I could've made more natural mesh for the head and a saddle.
Edit the NIF, seek the NiMaterial property, change its "emissive" value to all white color, then the mesh will glow in the color of the texture, like a lantern. The glow map itself is simply a grey scale intensity filter in DXT-1 format, by the name of "textures/creatures/shadepanther/shadepanther_g.dds" in your case.
If I need only a few lines to glow? Not the whole texture. Only those blue and white lines. I'd have to do as you told me? With DXT-1 format? Glow maps as I understood are just a white layer or what?
Why didn't I get a notification of your response? Ah, never mind, I've seen it now.
That's the key idea behind glow "maps". The entire mesh glows, and the map defines which parts how much. So if you only want a few lines to glow, you need a mostly pitch-black image with only the lines in white/brighter. It's simple grey scale, the whiter the pixel on the map, the brighter the pixel of the texture will glow.
It's usually not a bad idea to start from a grey scale/black&white version of your texture, then increase/remove contrast to isolate only the parts you want to glow. But if you can paint it all by hand, that'll be even better. I'm not a texture artist though.
Congrats on the first release, friend! I recently uploaded my first mod, as well, though it's not quite as complicated as this. Might be uploading another, soon... Welcome to the community!
