How do I use Construction Set Extender with a steam installation?
1)In order to use CSE your going to have to create a moding copy of your installation. A moding copy is used for making mods only! Do not play from this directory! 2)Make a folder on your local disk (usually c:\) named “Bethesda”. 3)Copy your entire Oblivion folder from your steam installation to the new Bethesda folder. 4)Download and install my copy of the construction kit to your Bethesda folder. 5)Download and install CSE 8.1 to your Bethesda folder. 6)Make sure that your OBSE is updated to the latest build and set obse_loader.exe to run as administrator for all users! 7)Run the bat file Launch CSE.bat to run Construction Set.

Hint: Every time you add a mod or modding assets, add it to both installs or it will not be available for Construction Set. Every time you alter a mod asset, add it to both installs or it will not be in game when you play! CSE fixes several problems with Vanilla Construction Set and adds a ton of useful features. I highly recommend it.
Then get used to not being able to mod Oblivion, Fallout3, and Fallout New Vegas.
Microsoft is not going to re-enable DRM security for ANY new windows product including windows 10.
As Bethesda has no problem with my doing this, it can be argued that this site should not either as it only exists through Bethesda’s end users agreement anyway.
Do you really think I didn’t check with Bethesda first?
