Hey Guys, I managed to do a Vanilla Font edit of the entire pack for this mod. Spent a couple hours messing with the code so let me know if everything seems to be in the right place/feels ok. I also had to pick a good spot for the numbers and top right was only area that mad sense.

Hello, so far I'm really enjoying the mod but I have 1 gripe regarding it. For me personally, I am a controller user and the mod seems like it works fine with controller in the Quest and Magic and Stats tab of the player inventory, however the inventory itself and the area where the map is has no controller support. I don't understand why that is because the controller works fine in the other sections of the inventory. Is there a way to resolve this or do I always have to use my mouse to equip items and look through the map? As I said the other sections where Magic/Stats/Quests works perfect with controller but the map and items list does not. Please let me know if their is a fix for it. Thanks it is a great mod nonetheless.
if you use controller, i recommend NorthernUI. it adds native controller support in the style of skyrim. and has better map controls. gotta do a manual install, follow the instruction on their page it say "extract the file into your data folder" let it overwrite any files. don't try to use vortex to download it, you'll get an error.
Damn GOOD. Why I was wasting my time with Darnified i don't know. I am one of those people who like the vanilla style layout and just wanted a bigger map and smaller font. This simple mods fixes both issues without changing the whole UI. 10/10
I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to keep the original Oblivion font but just make it smaller, as opposed to replacing it with the new font as shown in the provided pictures in the mod description. I love the Oblivion font and really don't like the new font from the pictures. Are you able to shed any light on that?
https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/3061?tab=description The 20 pt font works fine--better if you edit it a bit with: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/48029
MorganFreeman192, You need to find the following files in the "Data\menus\prefabs\ui_config" folder: inventory_config.xml magic_config.xml and change "3" to "1" in the lines <_inventoryfont> 3 </_inventoryfont> and <_magicfont> 3 </_magicfont> respectively.
To use vanilla font style: 1) Install this mod 2) Install Theos Kingthing Petrock Fonts 3) Modify your oblivion.ini replacing the value SFontFile_3=Data\Fonts\Tahoma_Bold_Small.fnt with SFontFile_3=Data\Fonts\Kingthings_Petrock_20.fnt 4) Modify inventory_config.xml and magic_config.xml (archives from "Simples Better", like ShahdeeAlice explained: change to "1" in the lines <_inventoryfont> 3 </_inventoryfont> and <_magicfont> 3 </_magicfont> respectively
MorganFreeman192, just do what ShahdeeAlice said, there is no need to install any extra mod. By changing it to "1" in the the xml files your font in-game will be Oblivion's default.

I wish it could work with DarkUI, cause it doesn't, and the inventory flashbangs me everytime on HDR600. Other than that it does what it's supposed to.
Someone already posted this comment but I am having the same issue as well
4) when you press the up/down arrows in the dialog box, an answer is automatically selected 5) bug when pressing up/down in the inventory menu, the selector always moves to the top/bottom of the list instead of moving through the items one by one (solved by Mizuwokiru)
I cannot find the fix by Mizuwokiru and If someone knows where to find it please let me know.
Hey still struggling to get this working manually. Do I need to put those lines of text in the oblivion default settings text document under ArchiveInvalidation.txt? I tried that with having the mod folders in the Data folder and Oblivion folder but nothing changed either time. Any advice would be great
Steam Game of the Year Edition - tried manual install, no change. Tried mod manager, no change. Tried utilities Archive invalidation, no change. Did this comment - NOW WORKS!! Thanks.
Didn't work. I created a new ArchiveInvalidation.txt file in both the Oblivion and Data folders and pasted the lines you suggested, nothing. I pasted in the oblivion.ini underneath SInvalidationFile=ArchiveInvalidation.txt, nothing. Not sure what else I can do. Really want this mod to work!
@bttdavis I would suggest to use SkyBSA instead of using ancient workarounds for archive invalidation.. This whole thread is for manual installation, which most users shouldn't be using anyway. Pick a mod manager (suggested ones are Wrye Bash and MO2) and stick with those for installing your mods except when you cannot (such as installing XOBSE, for instance).

edit: looks like it does actually
For context I'm actually having this issue with other UI mods too (NorthernUI and Major Jims) so I'm not actually really sure what's going on.
Following Through the Valleys modding guide btw.

You might want to add this to the description or an ArchiveInvalidation.txt file to the 7z for easy mergin.
for me this worked:
I created a new .txt file in the Oblivion Folder called ArchiveInvalidation.txt with the above mentioned lines.
Did this comment - NOW WORKS!! Thanks.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
