The mod was giving me trouble. The fix I found was to first enchant with a gem that is not full. I used a Common filled with a Lesser soul. After this I was able to use Black Soul Gems to their full effect with multiple effects. Let me know if this workaround also helps you.
Mod doesn't do anything. I manage it with Wrye Bash. No "multiple enchantments" option shows up. I can only put one enchantment on a piece of armor and then I can't select that armor again. Just like vanilla.
I have a problem, where when I use the enchantment "Multiple enchantments" with a soul gem, instead of opening a new enchanting window to further choose my enchantments, it simply takes "multiple enchantment" as the definitive enchantment, which "multiplies fortify magicka" in its description. What it actually does however is reduce my magicka that is in the 400~ to 140~. Does someone know how to resolve this please?
I just ran into this issue as well. Running tons of mods and tested with and without each. I can now confirm that Soulgem Magic 2 is causing the issue (tested with ONLY Soulgem Magic and Enchantment Enhanced, multiple ordering, with and without bashed patch.). Symptoms include those noted, as well as enchanted arrows resulting in creating a single enchanted arrow "weapon" replacing weapons instead of ammunition. Removing Soulgem magic remedies all issues, at least for me.
I find it unlikely that Soulgem Magic is the issue. I use Soulgem Magic as well and it is sort of a soft requirement for this mod to work correctly as well (As mentioned by me on the description page).
Sorry, but I just had the same exact issue crop up, and the only thing that resolved it was turning off Soulgem Magic. Not sure why there's a conflict there, or what exactly said conflict is, but there is.
I feel they should also be allowed but only with certain enchantments that dont drastically effect combat maybe? Like a sword that glows or gives detect life.
you realize if you just raised the power of soul gems ... it'd have the same effect, without any chode code locking our games into CTDs... responsibility out the window
It is a bit frustrating that the enchantment process "fails" and destroys the item or completely disenchants it. It seems unnecessary as all it is doing is forcing me to reload my save file.
Neither of this is a feature in this mod or the original version. You are either using a different enchanting mod, not using this one correctly, there is a mod conflict or it is a bug. If the last is true, then please provide details for me to reproduce.
As maczopikczo said, you shouldn't be using Vortex for Oblivion. Wrye Bash is the best for Oblivion. MO2 is apparently quite good for Oblivion as well but seems to require some workarounds for some things to work correctly, so you are probably better off with Wrye Bash.
An extremely necessary mod for those who love enchanting ... but easily abusable, selecting a grand soul gem followed up by enchanting everything with the petty soul gem effect gives an extremely strong end effect, for example: its better to just spam petty soul effect "shield" enchantment rather than any other level, same applies for most enchantments, would suggest locking an already existing enchantment so it was a bit more balanced (if possible)

Thank you for having found that out and shared it :)
(Your suggestion doesn't allow you to put multiple enchants on an item though.)
Personally I'm the Wrye Bash team since 2008 or so.
