The lore of the Goldbrand goes as follows-
The Goldbrand is an ancient artifact, which takes the form of a golden katana. It was created by the dragons of the North. According to the legends of thieves, it was given to a great knight who was sworn to protect the dragons. It contains the power of the Daedric Prince Boethiah, and burns those that it strikes.
So the Goldbrand is a sword created by dragons and powers by a deadric prince, however once you get access to the arcane university you can basically create a sword just as strong, far less charges but just as strong
This mod however grants Goldbrand the power that would be necessary to protect dragons which in turn are granted to you.
Blocking while either cloak is active resets the 10 sec, so tap block periodically to keep the cloaks active.
The charge capacity is increased from 3000 to 4000 as I found that I quickly burned through its charge.

Defensive Ability
- Goldbrand Half Cloak - Grants a 40% fire shield that is activated by blocking for more than 3 secs and last for 10 sec, this cost 5 points of charge per sec.
- Goldbrand Full Cloak - Grants a 80% fire shield that is activated by blocking for more than 3 secs and last for 10 sec, this cost 15 points of charge per sec.
Blocking while either cloak is active resets the 10 sec, so tap block periodically to keep the cloaks active.
Offensive Ability
- Goldbrand enchantment - The damage done per normal sword strike (22 pts) remains unchanged, however the standing, forward and backward enchantments are modified.
- The standing power attack - does 66 pts (3x) fire damage for 3x the cost of a normal strike.
- The forward power attack - does 66 pts (3x) fire damage and knocks the target back for 4x the cost of a normal strike.
- The backward power attack - is an explosive attack that does 66 pts (3x) fire damage on target and 40 pts fire damage in a 10 ft. area of attack damage and blasts everyone up to 15 ft. away, good for clearing swarming enemies,10x the cost of a normal strike.
