Mod Name: HGEC Mystix Revisited

Series: Clothing Building Block
Number: 17

Author: Myrystyr
Original Author: Shadowborne
Date: 15/07/2017

Requirements: HGEC

DESCRIPTION

Hello, and welcome to the latest effort to clear away unclaimed luggage cluttering up our fair Imperial City.

The Chestnut Handy Stables needed some cash. Desperately, since they had no horses to sell, none at all, no horses here whatsoever. So, tired of eating orc cooking with mystery ingredients, Restitia Statlilia took a couple of chests - which a passing adventuress desperate for a horse had left as collatoral behind the stables - all the way over to Jensine's in the Market District. She then treated herself to some fine meals, and excellent beverages, at several of the Imperial City's inns and taverns on her way back home. When these clothes sold out, and adventuresome ladies asked for more, Rindir and Calindil teamed up to track down the original manufacturers. New lines of mystically-oriented clothing and armour went on sale, at Rindir's Staffs and the Mystic Emporium, and everyone was happy.

And you'll be happy, too, when you try on Shadowborne's Mystix armour and clothing.

CONTENTS

The meshes and textures from the original mod are included, as well as the following esps:

1 - HGECMystixResource: New (a) IDs are made for each item of clothing and armour, and the two containers. The new clothing and armour are added to their respective containers. No other change is made, and no cell or worldspace is affected. This is a modders resource.

2 - HGECMystixMarket: Some of the items are renamed, for clarity and readability. The weight of all clothing items is halved. The clothing chest is added to Rindir's Staffs, and the armour chest to Calindil at the Mystic Emporium. Weight of armour items, and value of all items, are left unchanged. This is playable immediately.

3 - MystixHGECBandits: Leveled lists are made for the clothing and armour items. These are used to equip custom melee and wizard (but not missile) bandits. These are added to the percentage-based (but not camp) leveled lists. These foes will be easily identifiable, as much for their idiosyncratic names and (in some cases) races as for their custom garb. They are also slightly tougher than normal. This is playable immediately, but see Conflicts/Issues below.

Tools used: Construction Set, File Explorer, Notepad.

The original ReadMe file is included for reference purposes.

CREDIT

Special thanks to the original creator Shadowborne.

Shadowborne's credits:
Korana, for permission to use the Skirt that she further modified from Eyren's version. Korana's help was invaluable initially. Lot's of helpful advice, tips. To a long standing 'Icon' in many eyes, a special thank you Korana.
Eyren, for her permission to use the version of that skirt adapted from Xiamara's.
Xiamara, for the original skirt released as a modders resource.
Gizmodian and Doughnutz for permission to use the Excellent Shaiya top mesh and textures.
Neovinci, for the excellent Gems and panty mesh that is quite novel for it's glow effect. Neovinci is actually a very polite, friendly and encouraging person to contact. I wish him well in the future.
Sorrow-42 and Hentai for the use of The Vampiria mesh.
Chingari because I used his Catsuit mesh (incredible, actually has the body inside it and no clipping.) as a base to make the Short skirt. I wanted as tight a fit as was possible around the waist.
Hentai, for the belt that is used on the Long and Short Skirts.
Dude2000, for the Leg Belt.

You can contact me by commenting on this mod's webpage, or any of my uploaded mods. Alternately, comment on my livejournal - http://myrystyr.livejournal.com/ - on any entry I have made with the tes4 tag, with the subject line Nexusmods or the name of the mod you wish to discuss.

Please inform me as soon as possible of any problems you may encounter while using this mod. Feedback and constructive criticism are welcome, as are suggestions for future mods.

CONFLICTS/ISSUES

This mod was used alongside around 50 other mods. The vendor chests are pushed far enough down and away that they are unlikely to overlap with similar chests placed by other mods you might be using.

I have elected not to adjust the values according to my Couture Collection Formula, as they are fairly close to what I would assign for the clothing.

Known Issues: Depending on how you mix and match these garments with those of other mods there might be some clipping.

The bandits version of this mod will conflict with other mods that alter the same leveled lists. You might get a mixture of dungeon foes, or only those of the last mod loaded, or your game might crash. I named this esp so that it would load after a personal mod that alters the same leveled lists, to increase the variety of foes my characters face. You are welcome to rename the mod to whatever you need to make your game work the way you want it to.

Skimpiness Factor: While certainly stylish and desirable, these garments are no more revealing than the female huntsman's vest and iron greaves in the unmodified game.

My laptop doesn't like screenshots, so feel free to take pics of your characters using this mod. Upload them to this mod's webpage, and I'll verify the images as soon as possible.

IN CLOSING

This mod was created using the latest version of the Construction Set, and playtested with The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition. Although Shivering Isles and Knights Of The Nine were installed at the time, they are not necessary for use of this mod. Similarly, while OBSE was installed it was not used during play. Nor was any other utility installed or used.

At first level, and after only 7 hours of play, my playtest guinea pig character had amassed over 30,000 septims from selling clothing and armour found in mod-placed containers all over the Imperial City. The mod this one is based on made it especially easy for her to resell the clothing and armour, no questions asked.

These mods are my way of sharing some of the fun I have playing Oblivion with the mods they are based on. Thank you for reading, and enjoy your gaming.
