I find that I've been getting extremely busy very recently. So I uploaded it here kind of in a hurry because I had a feeling that I may never be able to upload this one ever after unless I do it right away. So, I'm expecting bugs. If you find one, I'll get it fixed, but it may take a while.
Could somebody please post the actual camera controls? I did install the Camera Commands mod (it's no longer on Nexus, but a helpful Redditor posted a link to where it's hosted elsewhere) as well as ChaseCameraMod by Woodman to sort of stabilize it and DarkUId DarN to support it and add a 3rd person crosshair, but whenever I try to use it, F7 and F8 just seem to toggle the crosshair on and off and don't cycle through any views. Do I need to set them somehow first to make it work?
I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or not, but looting is very hard. I changed the camera position and now to loot a corpe I have to go "out of camera" from the corpe in order to see the prompt for looting appearing. Amazing mod btw, even better with chase camera.
I found, with this mod and FOV changer mod both installed, looting corpses and collecting ingredients are actually not bad. By assuming you have also installed archery rebalance mod, manual aiming in over-the-shoulder-view archery is quite enjoyable
curious if anyone knows a link to a wiki or whatever for camera commands. i would like to just alter the first person view, whereas this mod alters the 3rd person view, which seems limited when trying to activate objects.
When I get in game and press f8, a cursor appears over my usual third person camera but the positing of the camera doesnt adjust, I tried un-commenting all the other configs and tried panning through them with f8 but none of them changed the position, I have the Camera controls, is there something I'm missing or is this a conflict? Only other camera mod I'm using is Enhanced First person.
Hi, It seems that the required OBSE Plugin (CameraCommand) isn't there anymore, I can't find a download link. Will the mod works even without it ? (I have the latest OBSE). Thanks!
I know i'm a bit late but so long as you don't care about pirating mods, here you go https://www.reddit.com/r/oblivionmods/comments/aal01a/help_obse_plugin_cameracommands/ If that doesn't work I recommend to abandon this mod and use this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/49067 ; that comes with diagonal movement with camera, that's what I personally use
In my opinion, this is the best third person camera mod for oblivion. Together with archery rebalance mod, it is quite possible to play oblivion in over-the-shoulder view just like Skyrim or Resident Evil 6. However, camera 3D rotation pivot is not at character's position but right in front of your eye (assuming your eye is on monitor screen). This makes looting corpses and collecting alchemy ingredients, etc. quite difficult. But thank god, there is a way to bypass this difficulty. Just use fov changer mod which can also be found in nexusmods.com.
Edit: By assuming all these mods installed that I mentioned here, manual aiming is also not bad. Quite enjoyable. Another best part of this mod is you can always go back to the default third person and first person view during gaming.
Seems that predictive aiming only works when a target is locked on, and targets only lock on if you press the button after attacking ONLY with a melee attack. I thought this was going to automatically target NPCs in combat, which would make more sense. If I could target anything, ally AND foe, manually though, regardless of being in or out of combat, that would be much better. I don't see ini settings for any of this. This mod is doing something really amazing, it's just too hard to target npcs. I'm using this with OR with the camera mode.
Could you elaborate? What does "crosshair far to the right" mean? Does it aim always too rightside when using aim prediction? Or perhaps your crosshair is pointing right whether you're aiming or not? If this is the case, maybe you've set camera position on your character's left a bit too much. If it's too annoying just disable crosshair for that view.
I am using this with Camera commands and OR v5. I disable the camera system in OR because I dont like how twitchy the first person camera is.
So while this may conflict with how the lock on works (in my situation anyways and it seems my OR lock on in v5 is the current winner) this does something that I have never ever gotten to work with any mod. 3rd person bow and arrow (skyrim style). I am super happy and impressed. I am able to hit f8, go to either 3rd person view, which is either top right over the shoulder or bottom left under the left shoulder and fire an arrow in any direction without it being goofy or only shooting straight no matter where I point.
So for finally giving me the ability to fire in 3rd person without needing lock on, you rock. Thanks for releasing this. I have never had one of the '3rd person' shooting mods work for me. In my limited testing of 10 minutes and shooting guards this worked well, so well that I can get rid of lock on I think =P.
- 2D prediction: The mod attempts to predict the target's movement over x-y plane. It translates to the PC's left-right angle. - 3d prediction: The mod attemtps to predict the target's movement over x-y-z space. The additional z element translates to the PC's up-down angle.
Which means if you use 2D, you will have to adjust your up-down direction yourself, but it's often better, especially for bow. 3D aim also locks your up-down angle and your camera direction is effectively fixed for a while. But enemies will rarely change their vertical height in Oblivion, so 3D aim prediction is often undesirable.

might want to check your skeleton.nif file also in nifskope or just use the Coronerras Maximum Compatibility Skeletons.

Another new third person mod. Thank you for the link! I will test it later

Just trying to understand what it does, the benefits and differences between them.
