Hey guys, me again, going through the list now and making good progress constantly checking in game etc
my question is, i want to use the NAO weather and NAO enb, can i still use oblivion reloaded with this? if so please can someone link me which one.. i think the wrong version of Oblivion reloaded ruined my game last time! thanks!
Hello me again ;) It's ORC v1922. Don't use 194 due to problems reported by many on this and other sites. Now bevilex's ini's are for exactly for the enb and ORC versions in this guide. Outside of that I'm afraid you are on your own for testing! No idea about NAO as I never used it when it was in this guide. I don't use enb in Oblivion but will offer this good tip : backup your game (especially the "shader" folder) before starting and certainly before adding ORC in any form! Crashes can come from shaders being overwritten when ORC is uninstalled.
silly question but what does Oblivion reloaded actually do? might not even bother using it if its not that impactful? inside of the NAO weathers there is a Oblivion reloaded lite?
Also how would i backup my game and shader folder?
My My!! We do like questions lol Shaders are here : \Oblivion\Data\Shaders and the game is well...the whole game so as not to redownload all the time (your shaders are in there too) just copy/paste some where safe. ORC is a graphic pipeline that adds many new effects to the Oblivion world. It also includes starting heap and stutter prevention...so all in all a pretty good bit (not to mention culling and so forth) Look through the ini to see what you think. Oblivion Reloaded Lite became Oblivion Reloaded Combined. and it all started with OR back in 2013 or so. Now it's a little messy but still works. I am using ORC v1922 in my build (that I rarely get to play these days)
Ahhhh okay I’ll look into it! Yes questions is because I have very little idea what I’m doing! I mean NAO weathers has Oblivion reloaded lite built into it.. like it’s a Bain file where you choose one of the the other (core files or ORL) but I want to use NAO ENB but no idea what OR is comparatable or how to know which OR doesn’t completely ruin your game.. I hate being knowledgeless!
wonderful little thing call "trial and error" A really great modder on Nexus one time told me you have to break some eggs. I said ??? And he said to mod, you must make mistakes...how do you think you'll ever learn anything? Well he was right...and I did learn.
I get that I really do! But making this mod list manually is very time consuming would hate for it all to break! But we will see, what is the OR you would recommend which works with most lists/ENB’s?
That's a tough question since for a long time OR didn't play as well overall with some enb. Bevilex has used enb with OR since he started this modlist. Oh, & this modlist is very short compared to my skyrim or Fallout 4 lol. The version of OR/C I recommend is the same one Bevi recommends. v1922 ORC. You can go back & search for the older ones, but bevilex has tested this enb and this version of ORC & found them compatible
Also I know Heartland is pretty much based off of this list, but my question aswell is, is anyone else having problems with heartland.. I did exactly as it said on the website and it continues to crash.. I used the lite version as the full version wouldn’t even let me launch Wrye bash, also added some of the mods from this list to it.
Hey there- I added everything to your other post. Please understand that we have no control over wabbajacks here (nor do we have support for them) ... Even if it says it is based on this list!
okay no worries! sorry for going on then, just thought they were correlated but i guess not! anyway thank you for your continued help its much apricated
No problem! I hope you get it resolved & get you a good build. Wrye Bash on its own is a great mod manager for this game & is what Bevi designed this list for. Before attempting MO2 here, try reading up on the few differences (i.e. Obse + lod) if you haven't. Most of all have fun ;)
Hey Bevilex or anyone who can give me an answer, is this modlist still working as of today in 2024? had many people say it crashes and uses old outdated mods etc? i love this list as i used it a year or so ago now came back to do it all again?
I used Heartland (which is based off of this right?) and that has lots of issues now. any help?
Hey there- Yep still here and you might find a few of the links not working as stated right below this post as well as some alternate suggestions provided by @VikingofTamriel. Make SURE you use the correct version of ORC (if using it) in the guide because you will have trouble with others. (it's v1922, second main file)
You can use MO2...yes. I use it all the time too. Check out our good friend Masterlix's MOFAM guide, which uses MO2 as the mod manager. you can reference it for tips using MO2. He started here on bevi's as well. Go in between the 2 and surprise yourself ;)
So i just follow this guide as normal? Do I need Wrye bash for MO2?
Cause I recently downloaded Heartland from wabbajack, and added some of the reminding mods from this list to the ‘Lite’ version and had none stop crashes, can hardly even spawn in, I disabled the OR it gave and still crashes? And ideas or help?
OK first let me say that I don't use wabbajacks. The only link I can find for Heartland says it was updated 2 yrs ago? If you have a link please share, but we don't support WJ here... & 2 yrs is way out of date for some mods. If you are crashing constantly, I have no way to troubleshoot Heartland... Sorry. Try starting over & stick to a list. Reference the MO2 specific procedures in the link I provided. Keep in mind that Bevilex designed this list for wrye bash only. Use MO2 at your own risk! ;) Yes you will need wrye bash for the bashed patch even if you use MO2.
Just had to drop a comment and say thank you for your very clear wording. There are a few broken links, but despite that, this is the best guide I have ever had the pleasure of following here on Nexus.
I am usually left with a few angry afterthoughts of things like, "okay what about the ___??!!!" or "Yeah but you didn't tell me about ____!!"
Here however, it was the perfect amount of information needed, with hardly a gap in sight. Thank you.
Very nice to hear and thank you! A lot of folks will leave angry thoughts anyway...so it's nice to hear the good ones. Bevi stops in from time to time and in fact updated the guide last October. This has been a "go to" guide for years now and it is good that it still can serve that purpose ;)
Hey, TD UNIQUE ANVIL website seems to be dead http://tes-diesel.ru/oblivion/12552/
I just did the other option, ill edit again if it's the cause of my game failing.
As i'm doing this, i must say, what the hell bethesda, we get crappy space games but they refuse to remaster this masterpiece it's so annoying, like what the hell man.
Hey there and thanks for the heads up. Yep it's gone for me as well. I would hope a simple retexture isn't the cause of your game failing ...just make sure not to install "anvilstreetlamp" as per instructions. Yep...don't hold your breath for Beth to remaster this one. I was hoping at one point too!
One final one: TD Lower Clutter is dead as well. An alternative link to it exists here: https://modsfire.com/6Li3133n1B8U7hU Dunno how safe that one is tho....
Thanks again! Kudos and appreciate the effort for sure. Bevilex comes by and checks in and can hopefully update links if need be (or find another mod) I think modsfire.com is ok from what I am seeing...never know though you are right!
You can, sure...it's just that I use MO2 or Wrye Bash and don't think anyone that stops by to help out uses Vortex that I know of. So no way to support issues that could arise. If someone knows Vortex and could help then go for it...or if you know where to get help then sure.
Thank you for your reply, I'm very new to this stuff the vortex app takes me here and that's all I know how to use, barely know how to use that though lol
Hey we were all new at one time so welcome! Bevilex originally set up this guide for using Wrye Bash, which I would still highly recommend. MO2 can be used as well, but there are a few differences to note. There are a many tutorials on using mod managers (unlike when I started lol) so youtube is your friend here! Vortex is useful I am sure to use as well here....but since I haven't used it, I might not be able to help you with issues related to it specifically. Whatever you do have fun ;)
Hey matias! Not sure I understand the question! This IS a graphics modlist for the most part Best to go easy with mods on Oblivion though since it can only use one core of your processor, no matter how many you have.
The sky in the enb is a bit too bright and when I look at the ground the game gets extremely dark and I only see the outline of things. I'm new to enb so thank you
Yep, & I've never used enb with bevi's build! Never cared for the performance hit. First, I assume you did disable the enb to verify that it indeed was the culprit? Second, reading up on the enb modpage (post section) might shed some light on how to tweak the various inis involved.

Does anybody have the lost and missing files from this modlist? e.g dust and smoke and snowflakes etc?
Earned yourself a kudo too for effort! We like to see that ;)

Bevi decided to remove it in favor of his own vanilla + weathers. Link is on the description page
