Costs double your bounty to clear your name at a Thieves Guild Doyen, rather than half. A harsher, but more sensible cost for an unsavory service.

Description: A bribe is not a trivial thing.
People are committing a crime, going against their morals, sticking their neck out—but why? For you? They’re not your friends. Palms need to be greased, bureaucrats blackmailed, witnesses threatened, favors cashed, loose-ends tied. It’s hard work for a Doyen, but they’re professionals, and professionals expect to get paid for their services.
When there’s that many fingers looking to get their slice of the pie, it better be a big pie. The cost of clearing your name at a Doyen is now double your bounty, whereas it was half in the vanilla game.
Mechanically speaking, it’s a heftier gold sink and adds a cost to “doing business”—great for balancing out mods that increase the value of upper-class household clutter! It also encourages clean thievery, without witnesses, something the Thieves Guild would logically prefer.
To-Do: Voiced AI dialogue replacement. Currently, dialogue still specifically states that bribes are half your bounty. Customization (why stop at double the bounty?!)
Compatibility: Will conflict with anything that edits the Thieves Guild Dialogue of Doyens
