for some reason the bethesda softworks hd720 isnt appearing? it only plays audio on a black screen. the rest of them work fine. i replaced the 1440p one with the 720p original and it showed up then. any idea what could cause this? i use darnified animated menus
I have no clue what could be causing this. Tried installing it for another round of playthroughs, and it looked just fine with all three. Are you using Steam? If not, that could be the reason.
The game fetches the files by name, so if you have renamed the file or something - that could cause issues. Although the naming scheme should be the same for all versions (as far as I know). Hope you got it to work eventually. :)
First time PC player. First thing I wanted to do was mod my old favorite games. First thing I wanted to change was that splash screen that made me think I had cataracts. Awesome work and thank you for fixing something so easily overlooked.
For whatever reason, my Oblivion program always hangs a few seconds after booting up when I try to watch these. Not completely frozen, functionality is recovered when this sequence finishes, but I just can't do anything until then. Anyone have a solution for this?
I am sorry for the late response. Haven’t visited the Nexus for ages.. this is strange, I have not observed the same behaviour, could have something to do with other mods replacing the splash screens. Alternatively, if you are loading tons of other mods, as well as the video sequence, the game hangs for a bit.
that's odd, I have a 2K games.bik in mine, in the Oblivion .ini file there is a line that tells the game to load 2K games.bik as well. Test it out, it should work
Ok, the 2k games video did play. How weird that I didn't already have it in the folder. Also, I usually skip past it, but the start menu video doesn't really look all that different. It's probably just me, though.
This doesn't make changes to the looping start menu. It's for the initial splash screens that display the logos of Bethesda, 2K Games, & Bethesda Game Studios, as well as the copyright notice before loading the game.
If by start menu you just meant the splash screens, this mod changes the resolution so that the splash screen doesn't look like something for a 1024x768 monitor. If your splash screens still look low resolution and blocky, odds are you didn't install correctly.
I love this! Although, I'm not sure if this is compatible with the video loop replacer I've been using, so I'm not sure how much I'll actually use this. But I love seeing people make this kind of thing, and as Joehtosis said, it's crazy how much of a difference such a small thing as this makes.
Good to hear people are liking the mod, I am sure this is compatible with the video loop replacement, just make sure this mod is loaded after the videoloop replacement.
