This is how vanilla should have looked

Works beautifully in a mainly vanilla game (no ENB). Endorsed and I love it. Thank you.

Excellent work here. No loss of quality, increase in frame rate (at least on my end) and the tint blends perfectly with my OR and Cinematic ENB setup. Thank you.

Perfect! I'm using Oblivion Reloaded with HDR enabled and EnbBoost no other special effects, but was getting an overly bright mist in caves and dungeons.
This fixed it, looks very good. Thank you for sharing this mod.

Do I have to start a new game to use this mod? I'm new to modding so I'm not too good yet... It's not working for me

No, new game isn't required for this to work, but you MUST run OBMM, go to "Utilites" option in the menu and run Archive Invalidation with the following parameters: BSA Alteration, "Textures" option checked. If you don't do this, your game will use default textures and ignore mod files.
And make sure that lightbeam01.dds, lightbeam02.dds, lightbeam02a.dds and lightbeam03.dds (for light beam retexture) are in Data => Textures => Dungeons => misc folder. If you're using mist retexture, files named atmospherecloud01(02-03-04-05-06-07).dds should be in this folder as well.

That's Ok, you can ask as much as needed. I'm glad to help.
OBMM can be found here: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/2097/? Really useful program for you if you decided to install mods. Another useful program is Wrye Bash - you'll need it if you want to add mods with new creatures and items integrated to original levelled lists of the game.

It should work. This is just a darker texture - no shader effects, no scripts. It will work with anything if needed.
Try it if you have similiar problem with light beams.
