In 2024, you should use SB Weapon Drop Fix instead. It is an updated newer version of this one, and is more compatible with other mods, as also optionally supports LINK (configuration menu inside Oblivion).
It's also providing a Wrye Bash Filter Patch, so you get full compatibility in case you're playing with Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul (OOO), or if you may plan to do so in future and probably won't remember then anymore, to switch mods. So, I suggest, just install the alternative one from beginning, after all filter patches don't do anything, unless you have another mod.
if you use this with Maskar's overhaul when mudcrabs disarm you they will take your weapon and keep it in their inventory. not complaining or anything its just a funny sideeffect.
its because you have OBMM running at the same time. obmm is really good until you start using wrye bash more and more. i just started this spring to play oblivion again and wanted to do it all right, so i downloaded all mods that was omod-ready in omod format and installed them with obmm, and the rest in 7z and installed them with wrye bash. but as soon as i installed new stuff with wrye bash other mods got unchecked in obmm. then i tried to install new mods in obmm but i couldnt, because i had moved something in wrye bash. then i uninstalled one thing in obmm and it unchecked mods in wrye bash. wrye bash is really easy going, but obmm is hard ass. obmm is the big problem. move your mods from the oblivion\obmm\mods folder and into the \bash installers folder, and wrye bash will unpack them autmatically for you. then you install them again with wrye bash instead.
Hello, short question, during the Shivering Isles quest "Symbols of Office" you have to kill an "Corrupted Clone" of yourselfe that is not lootable and carries the unique weapon Shadowrend in combat (except you have an weapon with stronger base-damage or the "bound sword"-spell (summons an sword with higher base-damage)) and drops it after you defeat him/her. The USIP supposently makes it so that the clone always drops it, but mayby there is a mod-conflikt I want to be aware of before starting the quest. So if anyone has testet it, do you still get Shadowrend?
My clones always sheathed the blasted thing before dying so it was console or nothing. That much isn't a concern here but, if you have fighter's stronghold dl aka Battlehorn Castle there's a nasty undead in there carrying a nice sword should you like the model of Shadowrend but, prefer a one-handed weapon. Can't help on blunts though was never fond of them.
Would defeat the point of avoiding the weapons falling through floors bug and the associated instability and save game bloat that comes with it. Unfortunately there are just some things Oblivion will likely never handle correctly, without being rebuilt from the ground up.
I'm sure there's a way to do it with OBSE, at least I hope. Something like the NPCs will still drop their weapons but they're linked to their corpses and can be seen in their inventories. Loot the weapon and it will disappear from the world. Something like Fallout New Vegas. Completely sidesteps weapons falling in lava or through the world. Unless that's an engine thing and cannot be done through OBSE.
I think Enclaveoverlord means weapons would physically be dropped on death but still be bound to the npc's inventory so you can find the equipment by opening the inventory but the physical dropped and uncollected equipment will be deleted along with the npc, that's what I was looking for when I came here

Otherwise it's a very convenient mod.
