I don't know lots about modding yet, but a mod like this would most definitely work for better cities right? The pieces of scrap flies all over so a bunch new buildings and rearranged city scape wouldn't be incompatible, do you think?
Hey Rolf, well try it out. I don't think it would look any good because in this particular test I used mainly directional almost precise animations, esp. for the bigger objects. It is not a "spawn random garbage somewhere" mod.
The others: pollen, snow, etc. will work with BC.
As far as Open Cities, they use an entirely different worldspace (Tamriel itself) so no, 0 compatibility.
- RustyShackleford69 Ok good to hear. I don't think I would mind either
- MarcoArecibo The thing is I am just *mod hunting* as I don't have a new PC yet. But I will try it in time for sure. I will test each of these sub mods, see what works for me. Hopefully this bravil rubbish mod will look alright with better cities, it is almost the coolest one in my eyes
So I have an idea! First I thought that it would make sense to have some falling pollen outside the walls of leyawiin city as well, in the tamriel worldspace. Then I thought, well if you'd put it in the tamriel worldspace you could just as well put it in the city areas in the tamriel worldspace, and thus there would be falling pollen in open cities-cities! Now I know you probably aren't interested in this! but hey just an idea!
Rolf, adding the pollen fx to OCs is very simple. When you're ready with the new pc I'll explain you how. Basically fire up the CS, load the apprioriate cells via Cell View, then place the fx (you got from this mod) here and there. Takes 5 mins.
The fx doesn't seem to be any good in simulating alive creatures. Maybe it could be tweaked to show a swarm of flies flying at quite a great speed in one particular direction at best.
In the next test, Skingrad I will try out floating long-lived particles, before moving onto an entirely different subjects, that's distortion animations for fire sources + smoke animations a la Skyrim. That'd take a long time though.
