Okay everyone! For everyone that has a low-end laptop or desktop that can't run Skyrim or the Fallout games. During the December holidays, I will modify the game's .ini file so that it might be possible for you to play the games. I can't make any promises of it working, but I do promise that it will be my gift to you all. If it works and you're able to play the games, I am glad to have helped you.
this may sound especially silly but do I delete the 'oblivion_default.ini' file that was already in my oblivion folder, as in is this a replacement of that or do i keep it
It's a nice ini, definitely, but I found one issue, and that is that the ini won't work at all with DarNifiedUI. At all. I had to deactivate it to get rid of the crazy big, gray text it makes on the Journal screen.
will this conflict with oco 2 (oblivion character overhaul 2)? EDIT: found out it doesn't, thanks for the gigantic fps boost! I needed this because my game got pretty laggy after downloading oco 2. version 5 crashes when i start so i have to use 3 :( is there a fix?
The one problem I've found, and can't locate the source of, is that if any Chameleon effect is applied, you get a complete invisibility effect. I can only see a vague outline of my character, whereas before I'd been merely slightly translucent. Anyone have an idea what setting causes this?
according to one guide bUseRefractionShader=1 - This setting controls the shimmery/invisibility effect. Setting it to 0 can noticeably boost FPS in areas where this effect is used, such as around invisible characters, or at an Oblivion gate. Note in particular that ATI users who have major problems in such areas in particular should set this to 0, though that in turn may cause other problems.
That's make my oblivion faster thanks for that. But I have just one problem when I use that folder Everything ?s so dark characters places torch or night vision has no effect can somebody help?
Great mod. I have one problem though; I when I go to the journal view I can't click on anything. Nor can I click on anything when I hit escape for the save menu. Anyone else have this issue?
Ok so I am confused on a few things, first off do I install the actual Main Folder or just the file in it? And second about the Updates, do I install each one or the latest? or do I just Install the last one and not the Main one? Im sorry I am new to this whole thing.

It's a fake fullscreen mode, i had to use a similar one for Fallout 3
