1. Open Wrye Bash 2. Rebuild Bashed Patch (if you dont have it, create it for the love of gods) 3. Check the "Tweak Assorted" category, and select "No Light Flicker" 4. Build Patch
About the Flickering Flame with the post that have Glass
I'm sorry but there is no fix, the issue with transparency is an oblivion engine limitation that has not being "fixed" by any mod or modder, if you dont want to see the flickering flame, open the post in nifscope and delete the glass, that's the only solution for that now.
Im using Ultimate Landscapes and Better Cities, south of Bravil there is this lantern in the middle of the way, all others seem to have happened to be at an convenient spot.
@monkeyangie, do you know if there is a Lights of Oblivion / Unique Landscapes patch for this one lantern post? I love your mod, and have really enjoyed exploring the roads around Cyrodil, but I encountered the same 'light post in middle of bridge' and haven't been able to find a compatibility patch for it. Thanks!
I have a question. Is it normal the lamps don't have shadows? I have maxed shadows settings in the options, or even using Oblivion Reloaded I can not get shadows from the lamps. I have shadows from the signposts, trees, actors, npcs... but not for the lamps. Must I configure some specific setting for this?
I love this. Road lanterns have become an essential mod for me in Skyrim, so I was thrilled to find them available for Oblivion as well. They're all so beautiful, but I finally settled on the fantasy mesh because I'm a sucker for glass. Also, I really appreciate your suggested ini edits -- they made a big difference in the aesthetics. The lights were really lovely before, but I had to be right next to them to enjoy their ambience. Now I can see the glow from a nice distance and it makes the experience of walking the roads just that much more immersive. :)

I'm not sure if this will remove the illumination, but the post will disappear.
